SteveThaiBinh Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 David Blane also levitates infront of people. I'm not sure how he does it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Are you referring to the Great London Freak-Dangle, or is this something else? It's possible that he could levitate by speaking, causing his listeners to have mild brain haemorrhages and halucinate. "An electric puddle is not what I need right now." (Nina Kalenkov)
Shryke Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 there's the one levitating trick where you angle yourself away from them a bit, and lift yourself up on the tip of one foot, but keep your heels together, so it looks like your feet are completely off the ground if you do it right, they wont be able to see that you're still touching the ground when your mind works against you - fight back with substance abuse!
Petay Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 Super strong fishing wire <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That is actually kind of what he does, but he/other illusion artists do use the technique that Shryke mentioned as well. I watched it on some "secrets of magic" or something like that, where, they show him doing the slightly lifting off the floor thing, then show reactions of peoples faces when he is doing something more amazing, then the editors cut and paste in the illusion artist being lifted up by some ultra-high strength cable from a crane-type thing. Erm...I think thats right anyway, well at least part of it will be
