Not just yet.

This is just a teaser website for the third Arnofsky film. I'm telling you that while no one is hyping or marketing The Fountain, that this looks to be one hell of a movie. The plot is incredible, the cast incredible, and it's coming from the same guy who gave us Pi and Requiem For a Dream.

Ive heard about this film years ago, it was supposed to have been shot and released before "Requiem for a dream" wasnt it?

Or maybe it was but it been on the shelf all this time, that happens a lot to independant productions.

It's been on a shelf forever. Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett were supposed to star and they waited for both to be free. Eventually they moved forward with Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weiz.

Pi had good music theme and plot was orginal, but the movie was rather boring.

This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.

What's that supposed to be? I mean, it's got to have something to do with the books.

Looks like the contents of a hypodermic just after retracting some blood to ensure correct orientation with the vein and just before the contents is injected into the bloodstream ...

I don't think the movie has anything to do with hyperdermic needles, so I'm chalking it up to imagination.

It is a dark lovestory set in 3 time-periods at once.

Yay!

...lovestory

Poo.

Just a lovestory? A love story imbeded in lots of action and/or comedy is :( but otherwise... -_-

EDIT: With exception, of course, to the Notebook. :) :'(

So, nothing to do with Requiem for a Dream, then? (I never saw Pi, is it like the book, which I didn't read?)

Rachel Wiez said she cried for a week when she read the script.  It won't be happy.

Is that because she couldn't understand any of the words?"

She might be British but that doesn't automatically grant the person literacy. (Oh, I see what you mean: compared to the average US citizen.)

And stop calling me Shirley.

Am I looking at the cell structure of someone? Or something... I'm lost.

I'm guessing the Fountain is a fountain of youth or life of some sorts. I do know one minor spoiler about the money, and I'm not spilling unless you really want to know. Arnofsky seemed a bit miffed when Rachel Weisz mentioned it.

But I think we're looking into the Fountain on the website.
