First of all, Revan was his Sith title not his actual name. And so far as we know, he never remembered his real name, this is why his and Bastila's decedents have her last name.

Secondly, Disney's been trying to make more and more of the KOTOR era cannon, and linking Revan to the Skywalker bloodline would be a VERY big way to do that.
