Um, no.

 

The Spring Celebration of the Pagan religions were taken over by Easter. Frankly how they determine Easter is directly linked to the Spring Equinox (or is is Solstice).

The Spring Celebration of the Pagan religions were taken over by Easter.  Frankly how they determine Easter is directly linked to the Spring Equinox (or is is Solstice).

Something like the first Sunday after the first fullmoon after spring equinox (I'm not kidding).

Well from what I remeber the Christian Ortodox church sets Easter by the following rules:

 

1.Always on Sunday.

2. Easter is set on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Spring Equinox.

 

Easter is also considered to be spring's holiday.

 

The Egg was a symbol of rebirth in Egypt.

 

For the Jews it represented leaving Egypt
