The Spring Celebration of the Pagan religions were taken over by Easter. Frankly how they determine Easter is directly linked to the Spring Equinox (or is is Solstice).

I hate Easter.  Its just another fake holiday.

Something like the first Sunday after the first fullmoon after spring equinox (I'm not kidding).

Well from what I remeber the Christian Ortodox church sets Easter by the following rules:

 

1.Always on Sunday.

2. Easter is set on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Spring Equinox.

 

Easter is also considered to be spring's holiday.

 

The Egg was a symbol of rebirth in Egypt.

 

For the Jews it represented leaving Egypt

In any case it is a fake holiday for Christianity. Just like Christmas, All Saint's Day, and so on.

So who cares if it's fake? You don't hear me complaining when I get a whole week off =)
