Exactly what happened to Malachor during the final battle of the Mandalorian wars wasn't revealed in either TSL or the original. I know that it resulted from a device that Bao Dur constructed, but what it did to Malachor to cause the deaths of all those soldiers and made the planet to become what it is was not made very clear. Does anyone know anything more of it?

The Mass Shadow generator was the device Bao Dur created.

When it was set on during the battle, it pulled everything torwards the planet surface.

So basicaly every ship that was up to a certain range from the planet crashed to the planets surface.

The commande was given by the general exile.

And by the light of the moon

He prays for their beauty not doom

From I gather the shadow generator just raised the gravity well to the point the planet itself was crushed by it.

Everyone in the surface was crushed and ships in orbit were pulled into the planet were they were crashed.
