Mandalorian History

wow...that must have been a pain the ass to type all of that. Thank you for all of that info. It saves the rest of us from doing all of the research and fact-finding that you did. If there are any Moderators "listening," I request that this thread be posted as a Sticky for its, um, informative value.

Oh it was a pain in the ass, but I figured that the Non-EU and Uninformed EU-lovers would like to know more about the Mandalorians. I always hear people saying the Mandalorians died and what not, but that isn't true. They might get beat down, but they always get back up.

The Article adds new things, and brings some old info to light, that could be used for KOTOR 3. Like Planet Mandalore and the Mandalorian Sector, and the different races that were coverted into the Mandalorian Tradition for the Mandalorian Wars.

Hopefully whoever makes KOTOR 3 will use this info. I'm just glad that Abel(writer of the Article) was allowed to finally fix up the Mandalorian history. The Mandalorian went from the least developed to probably the most in the EU.

The Mandalorian Dungeon Ship was introduced in the Dark Horse comic series "Dark Empire". When Luke faced a force storm on Coruscant he was imprisoned in a Mandalorian Dungeon Ship and brought before the resurrected Palpatine, who then succeeded in turning Luke to the Dark Side.

Hi everyone, i was reading this whole story about the mandalorians and really clear some of my doubts, however there is a question that still bothers me and i hope that someone can clear me out, on the number 67 of the Star Wars Republic Comic, in the page 11 wen Master Tohno reports that is inside sep base of the Planet Zaadja, on the room where she is, on the floor and close to the walls there is a lot of wich appears to be corpses or Mandalorian's suits equals to the suit of Jango Fett (except colors), and doens't appear that it was Tohno who beat'm up, does anyone know why are those suit there and where can i read or see the whole story? , also on the number 65 of the Star Wars Republic Comic, in the page 9, on the Planet New Holstice Clone Commander Bly is speaking with Aayla Secura the following quote "The Mandalorian's are in full retreat, General Secura, but...", can this been that was General Secura an Commander Bly the responsable for the ambush of the Republic against the Mandalorians in the clone wars, or was this another story ? again if anyone can tell anything about this and/or where i can get the whole story please tellme, antecipate thanks to everyone.

Both sources haven't been fleshed out, other than Jodo Cast armor coming from that pile. However the Mandalorian bodies are either 1) Mandalorians who were betrayed and killed for unknown reasons by the Confeds there(since the Mandalorians were confed) 2) those bodies were there a long time perhaps during the Mandalorian Civil War.

As for issue 67, the Article says that the Mandalorians didn't have any major battles until Durge was killed(he was the commander who died), and that was 30 something months into the war. The battle of Norval II took place only a month or a few weeks before ROTS. So since 67 took place 16 months into the war(i think) it's impossible for Secura or Bly to have anything to do with the Norval II battle.

The article also says that before Durge died squads of Mandalorians were doing covert missions. That is what the mission on New Holstice was, and why the Mandalorians retreated. Quite an embarrassing feat for the Clone Army if I may say. They were going up against a sqaud of Mandalorians on a covert mission, and yet they lost 40% of their forces to them.

Can't give the Clones any less credit though it was more or less the Jedi General in charge who underestimated the Commando's abilities. I say this because the Clones were trained by many old Mandalorian mercenaries
