from the beginning to the end of my first game i only had four crashes all

to do with the mss32.dll file (miles sound). Anybody got a solution please!!!

I'm not real sure. I searched on google & found that file is used by WinAmp. YOu could type the name of that file in a google search window & see some things I found. There seems to be some dll utilities "out there" that maybe you could look at.

Just a thought!

Can you tell us what sound card or chip you're using and post the [sound Options] section of swkotor2.ini?

Interestingly enough...

If you have the original KOTOR still installed... This file is there in your root KOTOR directory.

It is part of the miles sound system. In fact, I just copied mine from my KOTOR directory to the KOTOR2 directory just to see if it would help performance.

I haven't had any crashes (never did; Nvidia card), but I figure that an integral dynamic link library (.dll) file that the engine uses shouldn't be "missing" and that is why I put it in KOTOR2.

"mss32.dll" is the Dynamic Link Library used to play sounds compressed with Miles Sound System. You can get a new copy of this corrupted file at the following address :

http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?mss32

I hope this way helps you... :)
