Craftsman Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 Format your PC. Wipe it all clean. That way IF the problems still persist its fautly hardware, or bad game code.
jaguars4ever Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 A little extreme don't you think? Anyway, here's a surefire sign of faulty hardware : ATI graphics cards. :D
Craftsman Posted February 12, 2005 Author Posted February 12, 2005 Well. It worked with my first kotor. See theres so much crap on some peoples computers that it interferes with anygame, causing it to crash ect. KOTOR 2 is just more sensitive than other games.
envida Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 It's when I read stuff like this I'm glad I have an xbox to back me u when things go haywire on the pc! That said I bought the game for pc too so I can do some modding. But it has been impossible to get this game to work! But no way in hell will I go through the lengthy process of reinstalling windows just to get a game working! Everything else I have on my laptop works great, so that
sanskrit Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 reformatting solves very little and is unecessary if you can properly troubleshoot i would never recommend a reformat unless they are running windows 98 or older, or take their PC away if they run ME there are situations where a system is unrecoverable or the time to clean it out is more than it would be to backup saves and reformat everything can be recovered from though, what if you didn't have updated motherboard chipset drivers? (few do) a reformat would not solve that
