B_old
Hello. I was wondering about the two Finesse feats Lightsaber and Melee. Lightsaber will obviously only affect lightsabers, but what about Melee? Will Finesse Melee also work with lightsabers? Or will the add up if you have both? I'm wondering the same about Weapon Specialisation too. Thanks for the help. If I'm lucky I'll get the game tomorrow. I'm going to play Sentinel/Weaponmaster. Not sure about my attributes yet: Str 14 Dex 14 Con 14 (Just for the implants) Int 10 Wis 12 Cha 14 OR Str 14 Dex 14 Con 14 (Just for the implants) Int 14 Wis 10 Cha 12 OR Str 14 Dex 14 Con 12 Int 10 Wis 14 Cha 14 What do you think? How important are skills (I will get persuade either way) and would not 3 SP per level as a Sentinel be enough to do most things? Thanks!
Meshugger
Use lightsaber finesse for your fellow Sith/Jedi and leave the Melee for everyone else (except the droids). Darth Sun_Tzu
I don't think they work together besides they both do the same thing. So even if they did it would not make any difference. So yes they do the same thing but they are for different weapons. Make sense? "The only difference between genius and stupidity is genius has its limits!" - Albert Einstein. B_old
What I want to know: 1. Does Finesse Melee (and Weapon Specialisation Melee...) affect my skill with the lightsaber? 2. If 1. is true: Will Finesse Lightsaber help me to further increase my lightsaber skill? Or to put it another way: Do I need both Finesse Lightsaber AND Finesse Melee to get maximum skill with ONLY the lightsaber? Thanks

No, melee finesse is redundant when you're a lightsaber user. Thus, it doesn't affect your lightsaber skill at all. 2. See #1. See #1. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> OK, cool. Just to be sure, all this is true everytime you can choose between weapon specialisation for either Melee or Lightsabers? In other words: I don't need anything "Melee" if I only plan to use a lightsaber. Thanks for clearing this up.

Thanks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think you might also be confussed about the Finesse feat it only serves to change the chances to hit from the strength modifier to the Dex mod (saying your dex mod is higher than your strength mosd that is), meaning if your using a Dex based character then you want to have this in order to hit more times than not. Though it doesn't change the ammount of damage done in a hit because thats still set by your strength mod. Sorwen
Basically they half did the d20 finesse. Finesse is per weapon. They just decided to only break off for lightsabers.
