Foomanshoe Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Hey Obsidian, Since Titus and Interplay have gone bankrupt, is it possible to get the Van Buren engine from them? Come on Fergy, you know you want it.
kirottu Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 It has already become outdated. This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
Volourn Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Didn't stop Obsidian from licensing the Odessy and Aurora engines. <> DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
mkreku Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 But maybe the art-work could be salvaged? Perhaps the scripting (if they used some sort of script language within the game)? Animations? Maps? Character design? Dialogue and story? There are lots of features they should be able to use, even if the game-engine itself might be getting old. Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!

Foomanshoe Posted February 7, 2005 Author Posted February 7, 2005 How is it outdated? the screenies from it are better then any other 3rd person isometric engine.
aVENGER Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 Hey Obsidian, Since Titus and Interplay have gone bankrupt, is it possible to get the Van Buren engine from them? Unfortunately, the VB/FO3 engine is now a property of Bethesda. They acquired it alongside the Fallout license.
Antagonist Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 Couldn't Interplay have the dignity to wait with going bancrupt until Obisidian has earned enough money to buy the Fallout license ? Even at the bitter end Herve Caen totally screwed things.
