Can you make people jedi with very low influence?

I know this sounds kinda dumb but I read that having extremely low influence over someone allows you to turn them into a jedi. If this is true, it would be perfect for darkside users, so can anyone confirm this?

I never have heard that. I think that you have to get high influence with them in order to make them a Jedi. It is like this for Handmaiden atleast. I ask her if I coould train her and it says [influence:Failure].

I've played the games 3 times and have convinced all the characters that can become Jedi, to become Jedi in at least one of the games. In my experience, it is not possible to make them Jedi without having a certain level (high) of influence over them.

Yes you can but influence has to be very low. That means you have to loose influence about 4 times with the npc (assuming you didn;t gain any). This works at least with Bao Dur (script comment says: "Bao-Dur's Influence must be 10 or less OR 90 or more." - I haven't checked for the other NPCs. )

I also want to know, how can you tell how much influence you have over them? Is it somewhere in the menu?

It's not visible during normal gameplay. The only indicator is the alignment meter: check if your party member's alignement is at the same level as yours.

How can you gain ingluence with all the party member...you cannot bring all of them on the planet at the same time...and some guy like bao-dur for me suck in combat so most of the time i let him on the ebon hawk....

gaining influence is basicly acting and saying what a certain character believes. Thats why ya gotta put same-minded peeps in your party so you can get influence with both if you act a certain way. this is hard with kreia because she thinks more nuetral and dark side, and most other characters are light minded. However you can turn visas, handmaiden, and atton dark. Thats how i try to get influence at least. Its quite difficult with some characters, like ive never gotten bao-dur jedi, even though ive gotten everyone else that can turn, to turn.
