Anything about system requirements?I hope you ll optimize game as kotor 1 which was optimized and perfectly. Will this game work on NvidiaMX graphics cards?

I suspect they will be nearly identical to the first game. Roughly, an Xbox.

Roughly, an Xbox.

x what? ;) i was talking about PC

Yeah, and? As I told you, the PC system requirements should be roughly equivalent to the system requirements of the first game; or in other words, comparable to those which an Xbox provides. It's still basically the same engine.

Minimum System Requirements

---------------------------

Computer: 100% DirectX 9.0b compatible computer required.

CPU: Pentium III or Athlon class 1 GHz or faster CPU required.

Memory: 128 MB RAM required for Windows 98, 256 MB RAM required

for Windows ME/2000/XP.

Graphics Card: 32 MB OpenGL 1.4 compatible AGP or PCI 3D

Hardware Accelerator with Hardware Transform and Lighting (T&L)

Capability required.

Sound Card: 100% DirectX 9.0b compatible audio device required.

CD-ROM: Quad Speed IDE or SCSI CD-ROM drive required.

Input Device: Keyboard and mouse required.

Since it's using the same engine, probably roughly the same.

At least Xbox players don't have to download & install numerous patches to make a game work, but that's another topic altogether... :)

Haven't had any problems with my Xbox version of Kotor yet, so I guess I'm enjoying the features without the bugs. :):p

And how 'bout them mods? oh wait....

I admit, you have a good point there. That is one of the advantages the PC version has over the Xbox (unfortunately). :)

Well here's hoping it runs a little faster than the previous, as they say it will. Why oh why can't we have some non-consolified games? Dragon Age is a very long ways away...........

PC > Any console.

This will always be true. :)

unless you're computer is crap. Like mine is. *sigh*

I feel sorry for those who bought Morrowind on the X-Box. No mods or expansion packs.

But I have felt no desire to download any of the KOTOR mods. It's not really a mod game IMO.

For me it's not so much the mods, but just the games themselves. Like how much better would Morrowind have been if it had a good interface and was a bit more pc-specific? Console games are just always so much more simple and repetitive. I'll admit I haven't had any real x-box time but have tried to the others, and the PS2 especially, the games were just so terrible. I realize that most games are marketed towards the 13yearold demographic anyway, but it's just getting worse every day.

KOTOR has some decent mods.

Check here for details.

Most of the mods I looked at were reskins, uber-weapons, or cheats.

I'll pass.

The 'Hardcore' mod was pretty good. Made the Hard setting actually Hard.

They need one to skip Taris.

That would make the game very, very short.

Isn't two-handed fighting with the saber staff broken on the X-Box version?

This was one of the early mods. It lets you start as a jedi. I made canderous a women(but left the voice) for some odd reason. There's a mod that lets you recruit Yuthra Ban. Currently I'm taking all the double sabers out of the game(I may leave one). We can now import simple models into the game and I'm going to attempt to get my ridiculous hand cannon into the game for Canderous. This is just the stuff I can remember off the top of my head.

There aren't any penalties for the "saber staff," so it's overpowered.
