MCA said in his interview that while he's not opposed to gay storylines, it just didn't feel like Star Wars.

In order to give Atton Rand some more 'balls' to his character, i suggest Michael Madsen to do his voiceovers.

And having Michael Madsen as VO for Atton Rand had nothing to do with his sexuality, it had more to do with his character in general.
