Monday at 08:44 AM4 days So I was going to the island of Kazuwari to do the DLC of Seeker, Slayer, Survivor. When I was about to reach the island, Galawain appeared demanding that I leave. I told him the islanders need my help, and he told me something like he has his arrangement for the island and I should not intervene. In real life, I'm a religious person and try to respect divine causes whenever I can. Therefore, out of that nature of mine, I chose to listen to Galawain and left.On one hand, I'm gratified to my choice because I lived up to my value; on the other hand, I think it's regrettable that I lost an entire DLC.It's likely that the developers themselves aren't religious, so they didn't take religious players into account when they were writing the story of this DLC.I bought the Obsidian Edition of the game, which includes this DLC, at a huge discount two years ago. I don't think I can ask for a partial refund of this DLC now.Anyway, I humbly encourage the developers to take this feedback of mine into account when creating new games in the future. If you really want to write a similar story again, communicate such a story to customers in the store page to avoid any potential dispute. For example, assuming you want to warn customers that the DLC involves a religiously controversial story, the store page could say something like:A turmoil occurred in the island of Kuzuwari and the islanders are seeking your aid. Will you follow Galawain's order and leave the island alone? Or will you defy a God's will and intervene? (this DLC is for players who would choose the latter) ...... Tuesday at 05:10 PM2 days You can't be serious. What if there's a player who's deferential to authority "in real life" and plays a detective game. In that game some authority figure - who the player (and the character) knows is evil and corrupt - tells that player to not investigate further: should that player then stop playing the game? And more importantly: should that player even think about getting a refund because the devs didn't take servile players into account when designing the game?I don't really want an answer for those questions. So let's not worry about that.Ultimately, my feedback is... a feedback. It's not mandatory nor compulsory, though it would definitely be heartening if the developers take heed of it.
