This great but WTF you can give skuldr meat to the xaurip in Cilant Lîs for a peaceful resolution?

I must have entered that room from the left and killed the poor guy dozens of times over the years and every time I've wondered a little why they bothered with the dialogue since he always ended up fighting you anyway.

In case for any other doubt, PoE1 wiki is extensively better and fuller than Deadfire wiki; I bet it covers 99,99% of in game options

If you don't give the Xaurip Skuldr meat but just kill him, you can loot his spear: you'll have +1 spear.

If you give the Skuldr meat to the Xaurip he will give you his spear: you'll have +1 spear.

If you give the Skuldr meat to the Xaurip he will give you his spear. If you then kill him you can loot his spear: you'll have +2 spears.  

One more spear in SOLO PotD Ultimate can make the difference (selling it for more small change).
Maybe killing the xaurip in addition to his spear you can get a xaurip tongue or other minor loot 🤔
