January 21, 20242 yr whats the reason for not supporting POE & POE2 with controller input. you did it for the consoles. i am grey and old and want to play that great games relaxed on my couch and on the Big Screen.
January 21, 20242 yr I don't know why they didn't add controller support for the PC version - but the console versions were not done by Obsidian. Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods
January 23, 20242 yr Author yeah, controller support would be nice. I now plugged in a trackball and it looks to work out fine for me. not as efficient/ fast as a controller but still good to play.
January 30, 20242 yr I couldnt imagine playing a game like this on controller. I didnt even know this was on console lol I always thought these Diabloesque games were only on PC
December 11, 20241 yr Please add pad support. This game is begging to be played on steamdeck. Unfortunately, at the moment we have a choice between clunky emulated controls or cloud which doesn't work very well in my country. Don't make us wait for the Xbox handheld to be released.
February 2, 20251 yr Bumping this. I'd also love to see controller support added at some time. I realize that people like us who prefer to play these isometric CRPGs on a controller are in the minority but it really does make it much more enjoyable for me.

Compare it with the pathfinder:kingmaker controller UI (available both on steam and console) or with Solasta controller UI ( also available both on console and steam versions ) and its.. bad. But I’d still pay a dlc fee for this “ok” implementation on PC vs a big fat zero, lug an xbox if you want portability on a big screen approach. (And having to buy a separate version of the game which just adds insult to injury - yes, I did it, no, I’m not happy) I’ve tried a wireless keyboard + mouse + docked steamdeck and it’s a worse experience than xbox by far.
