Agiel Posted December 11, 2025 Posted December 11, 2025 Lo, I shall lead you to Fyushal, and there we shall open a temple of food, wherein shall be sausages and doughnuts and all manner of bountiful things. Yea, even individual sachets of mustard. And those who serve shall have hats of great majesty, yea, though they be made of coloured cardboard and have humorous arrows through the top. 2 Quote “Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. But these same philosophers have rarely noted that the citizen in question simultaneously loses another right, one just as basic and perhaps even more vital for his conception of himself as a civilized human being: the right not to kill.” -Jonathan Littell <<Les Bienveillantes>> Quote "The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshipped. Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete." -Rod Serling

Hawke64 Posted December 13, 2025 Posted December 13, 2025 Atlas Fallen: Reign of Sand If I haven't mentioned it, there is a built-in photo mode and I was playing on quite low settings. The screenshots are spoiler-free. Alas, I could not "donate" 5 inches of steel in its eye socket. The priest had an "accident" shortly after. The most annoying boss battle in the game, as the boss was flying around the arena, getting stunned almost always out of reach, somehow preventing me from gaining Momentum (used for abilities). Thus, it was 10 minutes of slowly chipping away its health bar. Somehow, I did not have this issue with the other flying enemies and was able to stay close. 1 1

Hawke64 Posted December 18, 2025 Posted December 18, 2025 Atlas Fallen I was quite surprised that the sysstem was locked by the NG cycle, but then I was almost always at 2-3 stage of Momentum (higher damage received and inflicted, also the dagger transforms into a greatsword), so it kind of makes sense. There was a way around the guard which I missed on the first playthrough. 1
HoonDing Posted December 18, 2025 Author Posted December 18, 2025 I played the game on release, there wasn't any NG+ back then. I only used that whip weapon. 1 The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

The NG+ mode is quite fun, though much easier, as the stats are higher and everything dies quicker even on the highest difficulty setting (but also kills you in 1-2 hits). I used the whip sword as well due to its range. 1

Hawke64 Posted December 29, 2025 Posted December 29, 2025 I have a feeling that this is not the same game, but they do look very similar. --- Death Trash Bosses Spoiler The hat (almost useless) is from this boss. The others had no interesting loot and very little XP. The only boss battle where I got hit - it became a bullet hell after the first strike, so I was just trying to survive until the ability recharges. Other spoilers Spoiler The allied NPCs were too averse to survival to do it with them. Walking slowly and (almost) not getting shot worked. 1 1

Hawke64 Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago I have started The Talos Principle 2. It is an excellent example of how to mess up a perfectly fine puzzle game. Like, were the developers thinking "I want the player to stare only at the compass while they are trying to find the next puzzle room and jog there for several minutes". The puzzles are fine if easy. The TTP1 PC's rewrite is somewhat disappointing (to be fair, Larian do much worse).
LadyCrimson Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Enshrouded: --I see an entrance room like this in this game and I nope outta there. Don't get me wrong, most of such aren't that terrible or anything - outside of a couple platforming things, because I suck at platforming things - but some have taken a bit of time/effort or reloads. I ran out of patience already. As always, it's hard to get a picture of one's base. I haven't gone very extravagant, mostly functional. I also keep building upwards for workstations because I don't want to increase the "build area" of the base-altar, since it stops trees/plants/terrain/anything from respawning. --This is the front, at night. Notice all the NPC's in a line. Was tired of them wandering all over when I have to find/craft from them, so I made all their walking-distances to 0. They don't even go sleep in their beds anymore. There are too many craft-station-NPC's. >.> --The glowing blocks for lighting are the only things that don't go out when it rains so I use them a lot. --The back, night. It's a steep dropoff in back, roadside in front. --Similar backview, day. The porch floor below my chr is where the small farm-area is. Since apparently no sun is required. 1 Still gaming with my 9900k/2080ti/32 ram. One day I suppose a game may inspire me to finally upgrade. Maybe.
