Sorry if this question has been asked before but can someone explain to me why the series called "Pillars of Eternity"? Does it refer to the Adra pillars in the game?

Iirc the original initial project name on Kickstarter was something like "something something Eternity" which they changed to Pillars of Eternitity because it sounded cool. Later they came up with the whole Adra stuff being quintessential for the way the world works and I guess it was no coincidence it fit the name nicely.

The devs speak about this in the documentary:

It was Project Eternity, i thought that sounded better tbh.

Yeah, I noticed when I was watching the documentary again after posting that comment. But I was too lazy to edit my post afterwards. ;)

"Project" doesn't sound very fantasy-like imo, so I prefer Pillars of Eternity.
