I keep losing my weapons randomly. Not sure if they're dropping or just disappear. One time I found a weapon again, but the rest of the times they were nowhere to be found. Not in inventory or around the area I was in. I didn't throw the weapon either, I even rebound that key to throw weapons, to make sure I didn't accidentally press it. Not sure how to reproduce yet though, but I've had to build a new needle sword at least 3 times so far because it keeps disappearing. Last thing I lost was just a basic ax at least. It happens on multiplayer when I'm the host and even when nobody else was in the server.
Anyone else having this issue?

Do you go through the haze often? I've lost a bow while there and I've noticed other times that the explosions can knock items out of your hand. I chalked it up as that, but I never found it.

I finally figured out that the infected gnats knock things out of your hands and possibly steal other things. I'm not a fan of that mechanic, especially since there's no notification/alert when that happens and the item icon is so tiny that it's difficult to find where the item went afterwards. They should either remove or fix this.

If explosions knock weapons out of your hands, then yeah I'm not sure where it'd go. Probably fling it somewhere you'll never find. Haha

I swear I lost an ax nowhere near infected gnats or explosions though, so I'm still not sure about that time. 

This keeps happening to me. Lost an item that I leveled up and its super annoying. Wasn't anywhere near exploding stuff. Only thing that killed me before I realised was a bee. 

I got on a zipline and my leveled up staff disappeared.  I was not near the haze and I was not being threatened.  It just disappeared. 

I have experienced this as well, lost a level 5 black ox hammer most recently.  It's hard to be 100% sure, but I noticed it shortly after the game had crashed and I logged back in.  I use the hammer very regularly and went back looking for it in the last places I had been.

Frustrating, fortunately it was only level 5, but then again I don't have any weapons/armor greater than level 5 at this time.

This is in a multiplayer world, however I was playing by myself at the time.  I have the Holiday 1.1 update.

Not sure if this is the same issue but when I thought I lost one of my upgraded weapons it turns out I accidentally put it in my smoothie machine. It might have been hot deposited or something like that.

I’m on Xbox one, on medium and solo. It happened to me once before but I went to my backup saves and loaded in when I had it and I realized it happened when I was at the haze. I went back to confirm and again lost my level 5 red ant club so I loaded a backup save again. I did that like three times I came back, I was at the top of the weed killer and a infected gnat knocked out my spear. I tried to fight back with no shield, and realized it was the gnat and I was on the lookout so as soon as I saw it gone I looked around and saw it fall through the gas can, I floated down to see if it landed on the dirt but no it fell down through the bottom of the map.
