Snydercj31
I have a few ideas that I think would be cool to have in the game. 1. Dragon Flys for fast travel, need a special pen to keep them in when not riding them. 2. Have a praying Mantis and being able to tame it so it could be a bodyguard if you wanted. 3. Have beetles for stronger armor/shields 4. Stick/Leaf bugs that can blend into the environment. 5. Special bug eggs that you can only find at certain times of day/night. 6. Blue Jays and Cardinals for colored feathers 7. Since we have spicey, mint, salty as enhancers what if we had sour? 8. Smoke bombs to put bugs to sleep for a bit 9. Have a snake move around the map kind of how the crow does. Could use the sheded snakeskin to craft with. 10. Have a type of trailer to move more resources around easier. It could be pulled by a ladybug you tame. 11. Dog/cat claws for crafting materials; possibly weapons. Would like to hear people's thoughts on these ideas. Alynxkia
I like the idea of additional birds for other color feathers, but would like the birds to not be as 'loud' as the crow. The crow is rather jarring noise wise. Snake skin sounds like a great ingredient. I would also like some fang drops as well; maybe for a tier three hammer/pickaxe that can get metal or some other resource the current hammer can't handle. While I like the idea of the ladybug trailer, ladybugs can't jump or go over ledges. Unless the 'trailer' was on the ladybug's back we'd need a wheeled cart which doesn't work well with Grounded's terrain. Getting the ladybug/trailer to go where you want could be rather challenging. Maybe we could set up 'roads' of some sort they could use (another foundation type?). Being able to find things like buttons for wheels would be cool. Sour is good addition. Warheads come to mind. If base raids are implemented then I like having additional bug eggs as you suggested as we could craft additional bomb types to defend ourselves with. ScritchOwl
Sour- Alien Z Sour Crystals. All of the chemicals a growing parasite needs. Damage buffs as an acid based damage. Subsequent attacks will do more damage. Snakes for the most part would be op at adult sizes while earth snakes and garters can be quite small as hatchlings. Suggested loot would be skin, neck meat, bone with a rare drop of knee!??? Most fangs are gonna be to big for player use and your better off with the mosquito beak. The lady bug trailer could be useful if you ladybug can fly. Have it be a item that has a cool down but you can call the caravan to you to place goods or retrieve. Maybe make a grass whistle that cause your bug after you rescue it There was a buried pet in-game that would be a source for usable pet parts maybe a rfid collar for accessing parts of the house If you see light at the end of the tunnel get out of the road! Alynxkia
I like the sour type having an acid effective. A flying supply transport suggested by ScritchOwl sounds more feasible than land given the map. Perhaps we'd have to build landing pads for taking off/landing. This would help insure we didn't try to move the 'trailer' into a space that was not going to work. I think ScritchOwl might have been picturing a snake that we fight (boss battle) and a whole snake fang as a sword while I was picturing the snake being non-combative like the bird and we gathered the supplies/drops the way we do feathers; attack ridiculously large item with ax and poof micro-version. ScritchOwl
The snake thing is problematic as far as collecting goes. For sheds the material honestly is more delicate than tissue paper and wouldn't have anything the characters would find useful just like insect/arthropod shells are to far damaged to be useful as anything protection (scarecrows maybe). Snakes also tend to swallow teeth as they only really lose them in struggling prey. So it would appear that the snakes would need to be alive to collect these materials. Though collecting a snake skin and making a scarecrow to keep the crow from some areas to help farming feathers easier If you see light at the end of the tunnel get out of the road!
