There should be a way to permanently delete unwanted items, such as grass planks. If I leave them laying around, they “despawn” (but not really) and cause my game to crash when walking over the area.

Give us a pet caterpillar or leaf cutter ants feed them. I don't care if I don't get anything a few cute noises and an emote and I am good

Yes grass planks can be problematic.  A 2 day time limit after it's been cut would be fine, I think.

Perhaps they could add something like a composter, which could grind down any biological components to make compost. Useful for more advanced farming?

Maybe a gnat farm. Comes with a scarecrow for booping
