Decrease building restrictions

Recommended Posts

I highly suggest removing the "location obstructed/occupied" and the "no land rights" building restrictions from the game as much as physically possible. Being a single player/ uncompetitive multi-player game being able to build freely and unimpeded would be much more enjoyable. The main issue I'm running into is not being able to replace my already existing base components. I get excited to finally unlock feather roofs and yet I cannot replace my current roof no matter what I try and it either says "no land rights", or "location obstructed/occupied" even though I had no trouble building there previously.

Building restrictions in Grounded are a bit inconsistent. Wouldn't mind them so much if I understood the mechanics of when/where/why they suddenly show up. If a chair is too close to a wall? That makes sense. If your door needs that space in order to open. Ok. Got it. But most of the time it's in mid-air without any restrictions or surfaces anywhere close to where you are building. A weed stem square will not work here. But a clover roof square will? Or every pebble block settles nicely all across and slightly into your rock surface of choice....except.....that one! The one in the middle.  Why? Haven't got clue. And now, adding to the confusion, we have......no land rights?  (Sigh) Hopefully, Obsidian will put this on their long list of improvements and fix this as well.

I still miss the weed steam windows that could be place halfway into terrain or snap to my pebble bridges that I use to cross the stepping stones gaps. They made such graceful railings, much better looking than the half-stem walls. :)
