Best race for solo melee wizard

I try find best race for solo melee wizard. Maybe you have some experience with solo play and You can share with me.

While I didn't run solo wizard, moon godlike would be safe bet. Probably strongest racial bonus in game - three healing waves which will be both useful source of healing and "panic" effect

I'd say Wild Orlan because Defiant Resolve is great in all dragon fights (Dragon's fear aura constantly triggers it and keeps it up even if it doesn't hit).

I trying  moon goodlike and see it’s very nice on the beginning but how is later? I will be really disappointed by missing helmet slot later?

There are some nice helmets out there that can help a lot when soloing. e.g. Tempered Helm or Iverra's Diving Helmet, the Company Captain's Hat and the Maegfolc Skull.

Silver Tide is strong in the early game but I find it not that impactful later on.

So yeah wild orlan most likely indeed the best choise.
