My base is on the stepping stone near-ish the knocked over flower pot. But i agree, there should be an area around your base where nothing will grow back. like maybe 1 floor space out from your walls/foundations. Will check again. hasn't yet in my game. been over 3 weeks in game time and nothing grown yet from those stumps. if you clear the stumps they grow back in a day or 2.
