I got the memory to activate the Trephine in the center of The Scriptorium and give it a memory but it does nothing. Have tried loading and reloading but the entrance to the North remains closed. Not sure why. From what others have said this is supposed to show you something to the North or an incinerator where you can sacrifice Heldr's Horn.

I'm sorry you are running into trouble in the Forgotten Sanctum. Would you be able to send me a copy of your save file?  I'd love to take a look and see what might be going on here.  If needed, you can find instructions on how to obtain the save files here.  If you could send that to me at support@obsidian.net along with a link to this thread as a reference, that would be amazing.

(Not a dev) Have you completed both sections of the Halls Obscured? You are not just supposed to give any memory to the Trephine, but a very specific one. Just getting the knowledge of how to operate the Trephine by itself is not enough.
