On the other hand little T3 didn't have a LS/DS affiliation.
The problem with that is droids have no morality, they only do what they were programmed to do.  Unless you're arguing for a self conscious droid, which I could see having a morality.

I wouldn't say the Star Wars droids have no morality.

 

3PO for instance was a sensitive droid. He cared about his master.
