So i found the flotsam and told my people to bring him aboard the boat. Nothing happened after that. I didnt think anything of it really, until I wanted to know how you were suppose to get this Rekke character. I look it up and it comes from that event. I am like "Wtf?". So now the Flotsam is gone and i dont have Rekke. I have no idea why it wouldnt of unlocked him as i told my crew to bring the guy aboard that was found floating, i just didnt get a cutscene after that....

Sounds like Rekke drowned in a bug.

Or in this playthrough it wasn't only Rekke's mysterious companion that got erased but Wael/Hand Occult.

Now that is one seriously annoying bug! You probably have an autosave from (somewhere) before you tried to recruit him. What happens if you just try it again?

 

I'm personally struggling with the "Forgotten Sanctum installed but not happening" bug...
