February 8, 200421 yr Haven't seen any devs post yet, so why don't you introduce yourselves/drop a line to those who know you or are new. It would be nice to see the ex-BIS who are here and perhaps a few new devs. Spreading beauty with my katana.
February 8, 200421 yr i'd like to know more about Obsidian as well how about a complete list of employees ? a picture of Obsidian's HQ ? throw us a bone
February 8, 200421 yr They have pictures of their parking lot somewhere on their server. Also featured in those pictures are a pair of cars engaging in uncany footage of their rarest of mating rituals.
February 8, 200421 yr They have pictures of their parking lot somewhere on their server. Also featured in those pictures are a pair of cars engaging in uncany footage of their rarest of mating rituals. Would that be the tow-truck mating ritual? February 10, 200421 yr Excellent topic idea. I concur with all the preceding inquiries. Halt Obsidian Entertainment! Stand and Deliver.
February 11, 200421 yr Nice to meet you all. I'm a new face on these boards. I was from Black Isle (but I was only there for a short spell - I worked on Van Buren). Been a bit too busy working on secret stuff to post. But I'll try and poke my head out every now and again. -Ferret Designer on Project X

February 13, 200421 yr I'm a dev, but I don't work for Obsidian...yet. Of course, I have no clue why they'd hire me in the first place. It's not as if I've made anything.
February 13, 200421 yr good idea, id like to know more about the obsidian guys too. btw can all the obsidian devs state their fav rpg and fav non rpg game?
February 13, 200421 yr Reveal your secrets immediately or we will be forced to kidnap you and subject you to "interrogation" Sounds like a pretty normal day at the office. I'm quite resistant to normal interrogation techniques now. -Ferret Designer on Project X P.S. Favorite RPG is a toss up between Ultima IV and Planescape: Torment. Non-RPG is much harder to pin down.
February 14, 200421 yr I'm trying to become a dev myself with my current crew. It'll be good to watch you guys at Obsidian to get an idea on how to do it right. Looking forward to your first project Good luck
February 14, 200421 yr Author Sounds like a pretty normal day at the office. I'm quite resistant to normal interrogation techniques now. -Ferret Designer on Project X *Force persuades* Spreading beauty with my katana.
February 14, 200421 yr Ultima IV? so many good memories. hell, with insipartion like that Obsidian games are already set
February 14, 200421 yr Take a look at the Developers group under Members. 16 employees mentioned there although I think not all are listed (as supposedly there are more than 20 employees). Nice list and lots of ex Black Isle names that I recognize. Ultima 4 was probably the first CRPG I played back in the early to mid 1980s on a Commodore 64. I spent months playing that game so good inspiration. And regarding Planescape Torment, I'd like another game like that.
February 15, 200421 yr So wheres Chris, Chris, and Chris? Did I leave one of them out? I know theres at least three of them.
February 15, 200421 yr Feargus stated a while ago that 17 out of the 20 at Obsidian were ex-BIS. This info will be slightly outdated, but nevertheless helpful. Let's Play: Icewind Dale Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Icewind Dale II Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Divinity II (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG1 (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG2 (In Progress)
February 15, 200421 yr P.S. Favorite RPG is a toss up between Ultima IV and Planescape: Torment. Non-RPG is much harder to pin down. Imagine if it had said "P.S. Favorite RPG is a toss up between Dungeon Siege and Diablo. Non-RPG is much harder to pin down." instead of the two great games he mentioned now. I honestly think I would have left these boards forever, just like that. *snaps fingers* Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
February 16, 200421 yr Hee hee... So I take it my choices of favorites didn't offend people. It's funny how many times I've talked about my favorite games with peoples. I think Ultima IV is almost the gimme answer for many RPGers (when it came out it was like a breath of fresh air for RPGs). PST has to have one of the best stories ever, and I know friends that got into the sit-down Planescape genre because of that game. And Atreides, I'm afraid Force Persuade only works on the weak-minded. So *RESIST*. -Ferret Designer on Project X
