  1. 1. How do you think Revan's face should be shown

    • Give him/her a random face each time you start the game
      2
    • Give him/her an "official" face depending on the gender
      5
    • You pick the face
      23
    • Don't show Revan's face in TSL at all
      25
    • I got another solution (please reply here and state it)

What I want is for Revan to not be actually seen or heard from directly, but still have some kind of bearing on the story. I suppose it would be all right if my character meets him, and his head was the one I wanted, but then there's still the "what kind of voice will he have" or "what will he be wearing" issues. It wouldn't bother me a great deal, I would just prefer that my character not actually come across Revan.

Exactamundo. Someone buy this man (assuming your male, and apologies if you're not) a coke.

OK, I'm like, totally new to these Forums, so I don't know whether this suggestion has already been made/dismised/flamed.

Anyways, why don't they include an option to copy one of your old KotOR I savegames into part two, so the game could scan for relevant data on "your" Revan and implement it into the game. After all, SL will be the sequel to one of the most successful games since Idontknowwhen, a geme that sold some hojillion copies, and most of the potential buyers of SL are likely to also have part I - and some savegames, I'm sure.

Togther with the questions/summary that are already planned, this would allow for a greater amount of customization, and make the game more of an individual sequel for each player.

That is, if Obsidian are planning to use Revan at all...

And technically/technologically, it doesn't seem like it would be to difficult to pull it off...

First off, you have multiple save games. On my X-Box, I have over 40 KOTOR save games from different people playing and beating the game at my house.

Secondly, it was dismissed because Obsidian decided to do so. That is their perogative as designers on KOTOR:TSL.

Lastly, I'm putting money on the option that we won't see Revan's face in the game. It will be covered in a mask, or we will only hear of, and vaguely see Revan's impact in the game.

Also, what about hacked or cheat save games? Will KOTOR:TSL freak out on those? What about people who didn't play the first game?

There are a lot of reasons why this is a bad idea, and no real strong arguement for why to include this feature. To top it off, it's a moot point. The KOTOR forums are really starting to bore and bother me since people just want to argue about features they want included that Akari already said aren't going to be in, and it would be too late to add regardless.

And I thought I was the only one that was getting annoyed with the amount of people "whining" about why a feature they want isn't going to be implemented.

Truth be told, I stick around the KOTOR forums mainly because I'm not interested in NWN2 and because there aren't any other games coming out that interest me yet.

I just continue checking out the KOTOR forum hoping that maybe one of these times we'll have a big update about something interesting and try my hardest to ignore the amount of newbies who sign up just to bitch that a certain aspect of the game sucks, even though they've never actually played the game yet.

But lately it's becoming more and more difficult to ignore them.

Not trying to butt in but IMHO, just because a person has a high post count doesn't make him "king of the forums" or what not. This place isn't a church bingo club where the oldest person gets seniority. These forums was set up not to serve a few, but realize that more people play the game than just yourself. New people will always come. You were new yourself at one time. If you don't like it, then all I can say is bye bye  . That's just IMHO anyhow.

Now back on topic...

If that's directed at me, then I would like to clarify my comment about "newbies". I consider a newbie someone who is new (obviously) but also who posts rediculous posts without paying attention to a)known information b)disregards the search function c)comes here just to rant and whine because of ONE feature they want implemented but hasn't been.

There are a lot of "new" posters who are actually contributing to the forum. I'm talking about those who sign up, post repetitive threads about the same thing they're whining about, then spam each forum with said topic.

As far as I know, I have the highest post count here. Does that mean my opinion is more important that any one elses?

No. It just means I post way too damn much, and am an opinionated guy. I like to banter, and I like to throw out ideas.

The fact remains that there is a lot of congestion in the KOTOR forums of people arguing over features that have already been vetoed. I just don't see the point. It makes like that much more difficult for people who frequent said forums looking for new information.

The time to give the development team major suggestions about the plot, features and gameplay has passed. I'm curious where are these posters were six months ago. I'm not saying their opinions are less valid because they weren't here six months ago, I'm saying they would have had a better chance of getting a suggestion in six months ago.

I know people enjoyed KOTOR, and just want to discuss and/or debate it. LucasArts, Bioware, and TheForce.net all have spots on their forums to discuss KOTOR. Obsidian's forums are for the discussion of KOTOR:TSL.

I don't mind speculation, and I don't want to squash people's excitement for this game. Rather, I hope it sells a billion copies and makes Obsidian rich. (You guys are getting a back end, right?) But if the devs have said a feature isn't happening, and you know this, then please don't spam the boards with why you think the feature needs to be in.

It just wastes everyone's time.

Just because you're a bit thinner than your even fatter mum it doesn't mean you're in excellent physical shape, if you could fit through the door and view the normal people you'd notice that cheeseburger boy. Squid suck.
