KDubya Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 I pretty much stuck with the one that had the paralyzing iceball. An AoE that casts fast, does damage and paralyzes at PL four is all I need. 1

And you can just choose which spells you personally want outside of the Grimoire, having extra spells to cast is just too good to pass up imo.
Manveru123 Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 You can swap grimoires in combat you know. I always open with Ninagauth and switch to Vaporous if I need to. 1

Some grimories have unique spells inside. Often unique spell >> +1 other spell. That is the reason. Btw you can even swap grimories forbmore variety
Boeroer Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 ...is there any reason to use another one? Yes, there ist. That Grimore turns EVERY damage that you receive into an interrupt. SO you either have to be immune to interrupts or not get hit at all. 1 Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods

I couldn't figure out why everytime I tried to cast a spell it got interrupted. It made me give up on that character and consider filing a big report, until I re read the description for the grimoire and felt like a moron. 1
Boeroer Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 (edited) You have to use Rekvu's Casque, injure yourself with something harmless (Acute Rash or Severe Burn - just nuke yourself with Necrotic Lance/fire spells out of combat until you drop) and you are good to go. Very nice combo - also in terms of style. That helm looks great on a Warlock in my opinion. Edited August 10, 2018 by Boeroer Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods
