Thinking of trying a solo run, but had a question.  When you first hit the beach, you can tell Eder that you will go it alone.  To do an official solo, do you have to select that?  When soloing, do you forgo all the companion quests, or do you have them along enough to trigger quests, but then go do them solo?

I didn't try it, but I am pretty sure a solo will not allow you to take/recruit any companions. I had to google it but you can access challenges by clicking on magran's head icon at the bottom of the main menu.

For a real solo run, nobody can ever join your party, even for a second.
