Hey chaps. So, with the Beast of Winter expansion coming out, I was thinking of doing an ice/winter-themed character. Of course, we can’t actually play a Priest of Rymrgand yet (apart from the new companion), so I was thinking about what options there are. The obvious choice would be to take a wizard or druid and just select ice spells, but there are so many levels that don’t have anything. Do you guys have any other ideas?

Unfortunately your best option for a pure frost damage dealer is Tekehu. You could always build a character around some of the frost themed weapons; dual sabres for Grave Calling + Tarn's Respite, Frostseeker for ranged. Modwyr (sword) and Sun and Moon (flail) both have frost damage, though depending on conditions they change to fire damage. All of these weapons are attainable early and fairly easily too.

Could pair up a martial class with a caster and just pick the frost based spells and/or self buffs.

the cold-blooded killer! Assassin/wizard, pick all the ice spells. pick up ninguath's spellbook for the ice paralyze fireball. dual wield grave caller/tarns respite or freeze hatchet, switch with frosty bow.

If you aren't against modding you could always use Unity console to change your MC into Tekehu's class(es) or the Rymyrgand Priest once Beast of Winter releases.
