Melusina Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 (edited) In the last few days I accumulated lots of unrefundable steam wallet funds, and I bought Dragon Dogma, Darkest Dungeon, Tales from Candlekeep and Hyperdimension Neptunia first. I wish to buy more, especially since there's steam sale and I'm going to have lots of free time in upcomming months. This is what I'm contemplating to buy Momodora - RuM - nice artsyle, but little too dark for me? I'm also not a biggest fan of platformers and difficult games, but I can learn to appreciate them Shadwen - Frozenbyte title, love this studio, but I heard so many bad things for this game Hyperdevotion Noire - mostly because cute artstyle, but I can't play it while my family is nearby, if it's anything like HD N1 Valkyria Chronicles - would be perfect game, but it's not fantasy Anima Gate of Memories - seems fun DOSEE - already own it on gog, would like to get it for trading cards + sheer support for devs, but it would be quite expensive to get it just for trading cards Full Metal Furies - maybe, really dig the artstyle Aegis Defenders - maybe ABZU - maybe Avadon 2+3 - Have first, because dear friend of mine recommend it to me, but detest artstyle - actually this title doesn't have artstyle. Anything to recommend? Edited June 27, 2018 by Melusina https://store.steampowered.com/curator/33102093/ - Picky Gamer Girl!
IndiraLightfoot Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 (edited) Hmm. I played through Tales from Candlekeep last year, and if I wasn't such a D&D fan, I wouldn't recommend that game (perhaps refund that too?). So, Valkyria Chronicles, it's a pretty fun game, but big and frustrating (as in difficult), with a lot of cut scenes. It's like a Manga WW-fantasy vision set in a fictional Europe. DOSEE is obviously good enough, but you already own it. Oh, and VC's long load times were frustrating, apart from all the restarts of acts (it's a decent port, but not optimized in any way). If you can stand old graphics, I'd recommend: -Dungeon Siege II (Plays perfectly in Windowed Mode in Steam, while not officially updated for Win10 200+ h unadulterated light CRPG fun) -NWN1 EE + all those sweet official premium mods (the latter alone like 150 hours of great D&D, almost everlasting). Gizmo Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 Disciples 2; possibly 3. These are turn based fantasy land snatching games. They have great art-style; practically look like animate oil paintings.

I almost gave up trying to play this game for the first time so look through some guide and check google to get it fix then it is worth the while Do some reinstall as well, did it 4 times with different solutions . It is 18 years old game so go figures. " So, it needs some tinkering to work on modern PCs. 1 *** "The words of someone who feels ever more the ent among saplings when playing CRPGs" ***
SonicMage117 Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 Abzu is good but really short. Momodora was... weird, for me. I didn't care for it all. I agree that trading cards are fun and beneficial to accumulate Just what do you think you're doing?! You dare to come between me and my prey? Is it a habit of yours to scurry about, getting in the way and causing bother? What are you still bothering me for? I'm a Knight. I'm not interested in your childish games. I need my rest. Begone! Lest I draw my nail...

That review reads like they don't know how to play, rather than can't get it to run. When I first bought the game (yes I've bought it more than once), for the first half an hour, I was unsure if I'd made a mistake; it was very unusual. But during the following seventeen hours that I kept playing it—that session, I decided that I had made a good choice. It is certainly one of those, "Just one more turn..." titles; or it is for me. Melusina Posted June 27, 2018 Author Posted June 27, 2018 Bah, I will probably try to get FMF or Shadwen+Momodora https://store.steampowered.com/curator/33102093/ - Picky Gamer Girl!
