"Cannonballs nearly always hit an enemy ship's hull and have a low chance of dealing sail damage or belowdeck crew damage".

 

Cannonballs are hitting the sails 50% of the time right now. I'm in a naval encounter where my opponent has one working cannon, but is kicking my ass because every time he fires, it hit my hull. Every time I fire, one round hits his hull and one round hits his sails.
