So today's beta patch seems to have broken my game. All save files, as well as new game start-up, now dump me back at the main menu to "prevent save game corruption" when I attempt to start. I've verified files on Steam already, too. Fun time, nice game.

so... exactly like what happened with the first PoE then.

you know.. I never actually finished the game because every time I restarted and got 20 0r 30 hours in, there was a new gamestopping bug like textures for an entire level not loading, etc.

I love these games, but my luck with them has also been quite terrible, and tends to find all the sloppy bugs the programmers leave hanging in there.

based on my experiences with the previous game, i now save every time before I do anything that involves a conversation or action with a named NPC.

meaning i have about 300 savegames now, about halfway(?) though the game.

I just zip off the saves older than a day or two to keep the numbers down :p

It is a beta patch, so install it at your own risk, why complain it here?

you mean, because there is a dedicated thread for beta patch bugs?

I'm going to ignore the "install at your own risk" BS.

Hello bryndragon,

Sorry for the late response, but are you still experiencing this problem now that the patch is live for 1.1?

I like big bugs and I cannot lie...
