May 20, 20187 yr Hi All I just bought PoE2 and trying to play the game but when i start the game from Steam it starts the game and then minimizes it. I cant switch to the game screen what ever i do. I hear the sound of the game but thats it. I searched the internet and nothing. When i try to switch to the game screen it gives me '' Fatal Error - Player is already running'' error. I did the validation on steam and uninstalled and installed the game again but same problem. I have the latest drivers. PC Specs I7-3770 3.4ghz 16gb ram Asus 1060 6gb Rog Strix

They are probably more active there since there's much less clutter on Steam forums I reckon. Additionally, alot more players there so you may have a better chance at finding a fix there whether from dev or other players. You will have better luck posting the bug there because the developers are more likely to see it. June 2, 20187 yr I have the same problem right now. Nothing i do seems to be able to fix it so far and nobody on the Steam forums seems to have a solution. I cant do anything besides watching the game in my taskbar.
June 2, 20187 yr Try running it from the main game .exe file located in Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pillars of Eternity II folder rather than via steam or the steam created shortcut and make sure set to run as admin. See if that helps. Edited June 2, 20187 yr by Dragoonlordz
June 3, 20187 yr I already tried that.:/ It is pretty frustrating to be unable to even get to the charactercreation/ savegame import.
