Hi, I have a Nvidia GeForce GTX 580 graphics card. I tried the settings in the post for the Nvidia cards (https://support.obsidian.net/article/35-frame-rate-issues-and-constant-crashing-with-nvidia-gfx-cards), but that didn't help. When the game gets started, my computer sounds much louder, like the hard drive is running extra hard or something. Then in a few short minutes my computer crashes and I need to reboot. I don't see any error logs in the Steam/steamapps/common/Pillars of Eternity II folder. I've played lots of games with no problems: PoE (original), Divinity, Divinity II, etc.. My grandson was playing League of Legends a couple of days ago for several hours (no problems). Is this an Nvidia issue or is it something else? I'm 69 years old (in a few days!) and I love RPG's. I really want to be able to play PoE II, but, if this keeps happening, I will have to ask for a refund on Steam. Many thanks for your help. - Andrea

Steps to reproduce: - Go to Steam - Choose Pillars of Eternity - Click Play Expected result: I get to play the game Actual result: My computer crashes and reboots I can't upload Player.log, because it's an empty file. I'm on a 27-inch Late 2012 iMac running macOS 10.13.4. 2.9 GHz Intel Core i5 24 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 512 MB I've played 39 hours of PoE on this machine, and it was working fine the last time I played it back in March 2017. When I try to upload the save game file, the forum tells me that I'm not allowed to upload that kind of file, so I'm not quite sure how to get that to you. I can play the game fine via Steam on a new MacBook Pro; it's only this machine it's crashing on. I've verified the files, then uninstalled and reinstalled the game via the Steam app, and the problem still hasn't resolved itself. Any thoughts welcomed.

If anyone can do it, it's Obsidian... [Darklands Reboot]
warhaven posted a topic in Obsidian General
In my opinion, perhaps the greatest CRPG to grace the computer in 90s. Epic artwork, music, complexity, depth, and NWN-style combat. Sadly, MPS Labs only ever released the Germany portion of the game. MPS had plans to release a France, Portugal, and Spain expansion but the game's initial sales didn't convince the investors -- largely do to bugs in the initial release. I'm sure some of the developers at Obsidian have played this game, as Pillars of Eternity seemed to borrow more than a few aspects from Darklands. In any event, I (and many others, to be sure) would love, love, love, LOVE to see a faithful port/reboot of the game on the modern engine used by Pillars... but only if Obsidian did it, as I know they're the only people that could do it justice. Please consider? :D -
