I’ve been having a great time in Grounded 2 so far, huge thanks to the dev team for all the work you’re putting into Early Access. I’ve been streaming it regularly on Twitch (@LOTS_OF_PYRO) and it’s been an awesome experience sharing the game with my community. One of the best features right now is the Buggie system. Hatching an Ant from the Hatchery Anthill, mounting it, and riding around to farm Grass and Weed Stems is such a fun mechanic. For players who love to build (like me), it feels rewarding and makes the grind more enjoyable. But there’s a point where the flow breaks: Once you upgrade your Axe to Level II and want to cut down Husk Weeds, you’re forced to dismount your Ant to harvest those resources. This feels like a missed opportunity. The Ant mount should feel like an extension of the player, not just a Level I farming assistant. Suggestion: If the player has upgraded tools (e.g., Level II Axe), those upgrades should apply while mounted on an Ant. Being able to farm Level II (and higher) materials without dismounting would keep farming smooth, immersive, and rewarding. It would also better align with the progression system, making mounts feel more useful long-term rather than capped at early-game tasks. I know Grounded 2 is still in Early Access, and I’m excited to see how it evolves. This is exactly the kind of quality-of-life improvement that could elevate the building and farming loop even further. Keep up the great work, I’m really enjoying the direction of the game so far! — Pyro TL;DR for Devs: If players have a higher-level Axe (e.g., Level II) and are riding an Ant, tool upgrades should carry over so we can harvest Level II+ materials without dismounting.

Ive been keeping up to date with all the latest grounded 2 news speculation etc. I love the game, love the community, love the developers for the support they give while in beta and after. I started this thread because i saw some speculation videos regarding a possible ladybug (buggie) and i love the idea, but also wanted to voice my idea of with the roadmap and the pond or water biome coming to the park it would be really amazing to have a flying buggy like a dragonfly. Or even a frog buggy that could be truely amphibious. Im drawing a little of my ideas from the game "Ark Survival Evolved and Ark Survival Ascended" which have certain aspects similar to Grounded 2. But i feel like with the way the game is progressing and being developed it has the potential to outshine Ark and take a major player base from the game as it has done for me. If the devs are reading this thanks for making a great game. And for anyone else throw in some suggestions you have to the thread below, if you enjoy this game as much as i do lets give them as many chances and possibilities, ideas to make Grounded 2 the top game of the year with continued support.

Ok hear me out what if eventually down the road you added a Fly Buggy as one of the first flier buggies and its main like harvesting ability is going around to the different foods that are all spread about, landing on them, spitting up a glob of liquid kinda like the dew on the grass but a bit bigger with a greener hue and it sorta dissolves the food large food clump into the little collectable bits BUT they all get lumped into the the glob the fly spit up for it to re-collect easier without having to run around and find all the loose food clumps! I haven't really thought of any combat advantages/abilities other than maybe an increased dodge chance, something like a blink dodge maybe, or even a slow down time ability lol. Idk just a random idea that someone with some better creative thinking could probably take alot farther so wanted to share it here! Thank ya for listening to my idea! ✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧

Hello, I'm playing with a friend on his server (just us two). We logged out in our small base leaving the red ants both outside. Today I logged in again and my red ant buggy is no where to be found, his one was still there. It's still active when I press on T (on the buggy wheel). I can't call it (no whistle sound). I dont see it anywhere on the map. But it says it's still following me. My buddy got me a new red soldier ant egg, but now it says I have two. The first one is still no where to be found. I tried disconnect from the server (fully quit the game) and reconnect. I tried dying and respawning, we also tried sleeping and waking up, but nothing worked to get my first one back. I also don't see a way to abandon my first one, and calling it still doesn't work. First picture is before I got a new buggy. Still says it's following me. Can anyone help me solve this issue?

hoping for more variety to the mounts Possibly a caterpillar slow moving but has tons of storage space for moving between bases (Also maybe later on you can hatch it into a butterfly and use it to teleport between different spawn points)
