suggestions for single class Goldpact paladin in turnbased
Hi i recently finished poe1 and want to start a deadfire run with same class. I tried to search for viable single class goldpact paladin builds but found mostly multiclass builds and mostly for rtwp. I prefer any 2H weapon or 1H weapon with no shield and no double wield. Looking for builds for TB improving action economy or utilizing goldpact ability of bonus AR convert to high damage output or general synergy in equipment and abilities. It should be viable without a priest or chanter in party. Food and drug bonuses are ok if it can be acquired easily. Thanks

Single-class ranger as off-tank?
I haven't started playing POE2, so I'm incline to avoid any spoiler. But through the trailer, I already knew one of the recruitable companions is a firearm-using ranger whose animal companion is a bird. That's not the type of ranger I want. Therefore, I would like to know whether it's viable to build a hired adventurer as a single-class ranger and an off-tank. I would also like to make him an expert lock picker and trap remover. And I'll make his animal companion an antelope.

Barring Death's Door (and similar effects) + Fire Stag
Hey! I found a way to make Fire Stag somewhat useful: Fire Stag has an unlimited use of self-destruct which does good burn/pierce damage in a fixed (friendly fire) AoE. Unfortunately it kills itself with the self-destruct (obviously). So the limitless uses are of little... use. But if you cast Lay on Hands (Shieldbearer) or Barring Death's Door (Priest) on the Stag it will not get killed in the process, allowing it to repeat the self-destruction over and over again as long as the barring effect lasts. This can be prolonged with Salvation of Time. All those spells can be cast on the Stag because it's a "steerable" summon which is not on autopilot and thus counts as "ally".

A suggestion regarding multiclassing
Hi! I am happy both for PoE2 being made as well as multiclassing making the cut. If single class characters were to be treated closer to how multi class characters will work a lot of the balancing issues can be sidestepped. If you were to add a second duplicate of each class which either is only available to main class characters, or as a virtual second class for single class characters. The comparative progression of single versus multi class characters would balance out more nicely. Consider the following example: Class/Power source + Class/Power source ----- Wizard + Fighter -> Battlemage Wizard + Wizard2 -> Wizard Were Wizard2 could contain more horizontal progression for Wizards, and/or unlock a few perks/talents only available to single class characters. (Though this might not be necessary, and is only an additional suggestion.)
