  1. Here's two more cents in the bank fo Ideas, Yes playing out Revan's or the Exile's story would be great, but that probably mioght not happen. My thought would be to get a new protagonist FROM the places Revan goes to. Mabey from those already fighting the True Sith. As you play Revan tells of the the Mandalorean Wars, thus introducing the Exile. As you fight on(or Retreat), Exile catches up to you. Just my two cents offered in boredom of waiting.
  2. I've played in the Palladium System so long I have begun to enjoy it. I do not understand how everybody can love d20. I cannot, for the life of me, bring myself to like it. In the D&D setting, they took the most powerful creature from AD&D and made it easier to kill. The original Monsterous Manual said all creatures fear this beast. Yes Beast is singular because there was only one of them. The creature you ask? The Terrasque. Look at the D20 system and this Horrific creature has been tuned down, and I just cannot bring myself to like that.
  3. Right now I'm not talking about the Rules for the system, I'm talking about the story of the world. Palladium Fantasy is ok, but I'm not familiar with it because I stuck to the latter day material. I enjoy the Rifts material along with Beyond the Supernatural, Nightbane, and Heros Unlimited. The GM's hosting the games have not taken us to PFRPG because we prefer AD&D to it. Another series that might spark your interest is not an RPG, but has the elements. It's called the Incarnations of Immortality by Piers Anthony. Read them before you answer, please.
  4. The problem I see is while you are only content with a few deacades, Hades is suggesting thousands of years. This means that technology has had a chance to flourish without arcane teachings of magic to hinder it. The view of a world with magic is usually one set in a dark ages period where technology has stopped and advancements are usually harder to make when magic is quicker and easier. This is not the case in settings where magic is introduced or re-introduced to a world. The worlds with out magic have to make due with technology, which also advances the civilization of the world. A few decades would not be enough to bring about the change from a feudal system to a republic or democratic system. Free thinking is embraced in the technological environment while it is stifled in a magical environment. Knowing and experiancing Rifts are completely different. You might not like the Palladium system, but it was first. I played D&D 2ed and I do NOT like the switch to D20. I also played the SW system before WotC put in D20. While D20 is not my favorite system, it worked for SW. For those who do not know what we are talking about, Rifts is a part of the Palladium Megaverse. It is a post-apocalyptic world that Magic and Technology clash while the Earth is trying to rebuild after the apocalypse has hit. The Palladium Megaverse is home to Robotech and TMNT. The rules allow for any crossover you can think of to happen. I'm not saying that it is the best system, but it is one with less glitches than others.
  5. wait that could be a good idea taking a fantasy setting where magic went dead then advancing it a few thousand years and then doing something with that <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'd be interested in playing that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> For those Pen and Paper fans out there, try RIFTS material by Palladium. It's not D20, imo a good thing, so it might confuse some of you :D

KotOR III has the potential to either be fabulous or flop. the idea that you must use Revan or the Exile is not one set in stone. picture this, twenty years after KotOR II the Ebon Hawk returns to the Core Worlds. Because Carth Onassi was an admiral at the time it departed he probably had some sort of diary or journal. Now a ship of hisorical value suddenly appears in known space would call for an investigation. enter our "new" protagonist. the game uses saved data from the first two games to put togather the plot. now our young adventurer would have to search for those battlefields in the Outer Rim and beyond to tell the story, mabey even finding either Revan and the Exile or their remains. but this is just one possibility for the tale for KotOR III.
  7. For those of us who use the X-Box version will have some trouble with an epansion. Expansions are good, but the ability load from previous saves should be a reward for the person whohas the data, and it should be an incentive to either play or replay the previous games.
  8. I believe that the KotOR III should include the ability to read save data from KotOR I & II so that a person who has spent 30+ hrs on each can be rewarded for their efforts. As to the mentioning that Revan should be DS and Exile should be LS is not what would make the game. I have played KotOR's I & II four times each because of the choices that can be made. Each choice is different because the story is different for a female Revan than it is with a Male Revan. Much the same as if you play LS or DS. The same stands for the Exile. KotOR II puts another set of choices in that make the story change as you answer questions about Revan, putting yet four more variables in to play when looking at the story. Yes, I would like to see both stories ended, but they need to match what you played in previous games.
