  1. Have to go with the main character in KOtoR1, alias Revan. Great storyline, good surprise factor despite a somewhat "open" ending. Surprised you don't have HK-47 on that list, I enjoyed his 2nd most in KOtoR1... As for the story of bastilla: To be quite honest there wasn't much in that in my opinion. Sure, there was the part about her mother, but the rest of it was tied so much to Revan's backstory that I count that under him. EDIT: Oh yeah, also somewhat surprised you took Revan in the list but not the Exile? Weren't there enough options to add?
  2. I think getting parts from Visas saber was one of the better thought up ideas, tho it seems somewhat silly that a non-jedi "breaks" a Sith's saber. Her saber should've been broken in her intro video, and she should fight you with a regular melee weapon. Once you beat her, then have her hand over parts of her broken as a token of sorts. And to be honest, finding your specially attuned crystal in the cave is just too simple. Why not either find a crystal that seems to glow more from your touch, and then have it modified/attuned to you by some of the first jedi masters you encounter? Getting the crystal and then getting it ready to go on the ship was just too simple... Or, they could've had you encounter Atris one more time for more background story and eventually have her give your crystal back to you... And the destruction on the academy on Dantooine could've been used a little more, the sub-leves there could have better ways of getting items to you than a scavenger. Since the order in which you go to planets in KotOR2 is as unimportant as KotOR1, I think they could've done alot more with the lighsaber creation by forcing you to tels and then dantooine before giving you a choice of where to go next. I think most players instinctively sought out Dantooine early anyways, when you look back on KotOR1.
  3. The story is tied decently to KotOR1, but I guess it all depends what you were hoping to see. Sure, many of the KotOR1 people were sorely missed, and I did miss a continuation of the story, rather than more of the same. Yes, they do manage to somewhat explain the mandalorian wars and the jedi civil war that followed, but it just leaves way too many questions unanswered. There are many good things about KotOR, and if you look on the story independantly of KotOR1, it has alot of potential. It's a shame the potential is crushed beneath deadlines, needed ties to KotOR1 and in general a feeling of obsidian not knowing where they wanted the story to end. All in all, I like KotOR2. It's not as good as KotOR1, but I think it manages to pull off a decent follow-up, despite many of the other expectations I myself, and many others, might have had for it. I'd like KotOR3, if they make one, to summarize on KotOR1+2. But I think it might be better for them to conclude the stories of 1+2 early in the game and then give the 3rd an independant path, or a path taken due to the consequences of 1+2.
  4. I am not far into my game yet, but it seems that KOTOR2 has way more "grey zones" than KOTOR1 did. You're not allways presented with the ultimate evil/good option, sometimes your choices may have unforseen consequences of either good or evil caracter. Personally, in my first try through, I do what I think is right, and in line with the background information of the main char. I defend the weak, I help those who truely need help. I listen to my own inner voice, not the reasoning presented to me by others, and I don't take well to lectures. It's great, and despite my char moving to the LS, there have been plenty of places where DS has shown it's face. The storyline has me hooked just as much, if not more, than KOTOR1 did. And while I haven't completed the game multiple times, I hope there are rewarding results for both good, evil and those that seek neutral status.
  5. Waiting as well, tho the wait will soon be over Was actually debating purchasing a US version for a while but got over it. A worldwide release would've rocked, and I probably could've avoided reading some of the info on the game that I would've preferred to see/discover myself.
