You don't deserve courtesy when you're being obnoxious and ignorant towards those who don't want the game ruined for them. And instead of this whole pursecution complex, I'll let you know that I'd call someone who is defending the game ignorant if they put spoilers as well. I could care less what you think of the game. What I do care about is not having the game ruined for me because some spoiled brat can't even bother to put the thread in the right forum. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> you're the coolest thanks for calling me a spoiled brat. I appreciate that too. and if you took the time to read the thread (which you haven't) you would see that many defenders of KOTOR II have leaked spoilers as well. but you're not concerned with with them are you? can we get back to discussing the game, or do you want to insult my mother next? -

once again with the name calling. cant we just discuss the game? Im here to talk about KOTOR II: The Sith Lords. I dont want to get insulted, I dont want all the veterans of this site to call my actions ignorant, I just want to discuss a game that I purchased, and I want to compare to other Star Wars games like Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy, Obi One, etc... jeez  -

That is good logic, except 1. They mention Yuthura on Korriban ( a vague reference, but a reference nonethless) 2. The stories they crafted werent as compelling as the original ones in KOTOR. -

Name calling? I said your actions were ignorant. Which they were. There are specific forums on this message board for spoiler information and you chose to ignore it. That has nothing to do with being in an "Obsidian fan club" and everything to do with common courtesy. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> you cant call me or my actions ignorant and then speak about courtesy. thats just plain ignorant -

hablo un poquito de espanol, y entiendo lo que dices. Es la verdad!!! I think that the Obsidian fan club is out in force these days. They are calling me names: ignorant, stupid, illogical, but Im not gonna go there. I bought the game for $38.00 and now I want them to know we are displeased with the result. -

THANK YOU. Its funny that he says, "In all likelyhood". If Obsidian can bring back useless assasin droids, and T3, they can account for a major NPC from KOTORI. This goes back to the point that Obsidian didnt take enough time to study KOTOR I or the community that truly appreciates KOTOR's contribution to the Star Wars universe. -

then, you obviously dont know enough about the game to speak on it. you should actually PLAY the game before you defend it so vigorously. If you play the game as a LS Jedi, then you will see the scene in question, (she and Carth are talking to each other) and its a terrible way to showcase such a major character from KOTOR I. -

you cant call it trolling. Im expressing my opinion, and many people agree with me. Try to dispute it with rational thought, then we can talk. All of your quotes and spoliers are weak examples, if you want to go into detail, make a thread in the spoilers section, I will accomodate you. -

your "facts" are sorely lacking in, ummm, facts. every point you make, I counter asbest I can without giving away too much of the game. If you want to have an in depth discussion, start a thread in the spoilers room. I dont think that you are up to the challenge. And besides, I bought the game, I am entitled to my opinion. and you can choose to ignore the facts, but there's many many more voices like mine out there. We are displeased with the game in its current form, get over it -

so now you are telling me to downgrade my expectations to fit the game? KOTOR exceeded my expectations. I expected the same out of its sequel. and if you read my first post, you will see many of those features listed along with a congrats to the Obsidian devs. but now is the time to make known the problems in the game. if Obsidian gets the nod for the third installment, they are gonna have to up the ante, or lose alot of $$$$. -

thats a cop out. we are talking about a multi million dollar project, they can take the time to read up on Star Wars lore and how Bioware implemented it through their Odessy Engine. and hypothetically, If I was to build a Star Wars game, I would make sure the plot was lucid, the NPC's interesting, the dialogue engaging, and the ending was enlightening. -

those are superficial allusions to the Star Wars universe (at best) and if you think that getting a hand lopped off is what entails the Star Wars mythos, then you should watch Episodes 4-6 1000 more times. -

what are you trying to curry favor or something? the devs can take the criticism. In fact, if you read my post, this really isnt about the devs, its about the Marketing and Business teams that pushed for an early rollout of the game before it was ready. If the product had been through a quality Q/A, most of the problems would have been taken care of. As a software engineer, I know that the devs had little power over when to ship the product. The project manager is the one who calls the shots. -

you are correct. and for someone to be such a central figure in the first KOTOR, if you are gonna show her face in KOTOR II, then you better come up with a (decent) bloody explanation as to why she isnt continuing the fight. -

you guys can disagree about Fable all you want, but its not gonna remedy the many problems in KOTOR II. and as far as Yoda, Qui Gon Jin, and Kenobi, I dont find their dialogue cryptic at all. Ive played and beaten the game as a LS Jedi Guardian Weapons Master, Im playing the game now as a DS Dark Jedi Sentinel, (no prestige yet) and it is very obvious that the game wasnt ready to be shipped to market. There are glaring inconsistencies in the dialogue, story, and transition points from KOTOR I to KOTOR II. There are plot lines that are never resolved, there are lines of dialogue THAT MAKE NO SENSE, there are lines of code that should have been re-written. if you cant see this, then you are employed by Obsidian in some form or fashion. -

also, is Darth Nihilus the most overly hyped Sith Lord of them all? I get this speech from the colonel about how Nihilus only sees stars and planets. Then I get this speech from Visas telling me to prepare myself for the battle of my life, I go in there and take him out with three shots from my blade? what happened? In KOTOR I, we have an epic battle aboard the Star Forge, Dark Jedi coming out from all sides. In KOTOR II, we have space beasts and easy to kill Sith Maradurs at the academy not good -

At the end of KOTOR, we have a celebration, the Jedi Civi war is over. My "group" has completed an epic journey and now is the time to rest and revitalize. At the end of KOTOR II, we have a mess. The dialogue is too "Matrix- like". Doesn't answer all my questions. Where are the HK's beign built? Who is this GoT0? How did Kreia escape from her apprentice? Then there is Atris and the holocrons. how could she not know how they would affect her? Then there is Malachor V. What exactly happened there. How did Bao-Durs generator afftect the final battle of the Mandelorian wars? -

I see what you are saying, but its a bit of a cop out. Each game in a series should be a good game stand alone as well. We shouldn't need a KOTOR III to answer all of the quesitons of KOTOR II. KOTOR II should be able to answer all of its mysteries within the 30+ hours we are playing it. Also, the allegiance of Kreia is SO OBVIOUS. I think that having her as your mentor wouldnt make sense if you are gonna follow a certain path. -

I wont defend Fable anymore, hey if you dont like it, fine. you say that Yuthura could be dead, there shoudn't be a 'could' be. They refer to her in KOTOR II on Korriban, but they were too lazy to follow through with a clear explanation. That certain Jedi was CERTAINLY a jedi and a VERY important part of the first game. To have her role reduced is fine: JUST EXPLAIN IT to the audience. We already know that the Jedi Order is/was flawed. Arrogance and corruption we pointed out by Jolee Bindo in the KOTOR I. An import from KOTOR I would have been nice, but it wouldnt have been a cure all for all the ills that this game suffers from. -

I have beaten the game LS with influence over Viasas, the Handmaiden, and Boa Dur. I talked to all of them repeatedly and nothing new came of it. The HK unit from the hawk gave me no new info. Atris was a pointless character that we could have done without. Your point about TOTJ comics is my point exactly: KOTOR II tells us nothing new about the Sith or the Jedi. and if I hear the word "echo" one more time out of this bloody game...... -

lawlz -- AGREED! KOTOR is a 9.5 for me, due to lack of polish and graphical mind-melting, but no game is perfect, imho. And FABLE? As much as I enjoyed it, I couldn't give it more than an 8.5....I happen to love the dialogue in this game, as well as the story so far. Not to mention the characters and cameos! It's my personal RPG GotY.....runner-up being SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI: Nocturne. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Fable is a well put together game. Few glitches, great graphics, using Frecoes to tell the story was brilliant. The story was very good and the ending answered all relevant questions .
