Still doing these, if anyone is interested, just finished Episode 31... EPISODE 31: SIDE EFFECTS... MAY VARY. With Peter and Grayson paying for Pawl the Dorf's reincarnation, the dynamic duo realizes they're in need of more funds again. Lucky for them, the City of Blackmire has the one place Peter and Grayson know very well - second only to the layout of a good, drinking tavern - and that is - a Wishing Well. When Grayson dives in to scrounge up some coins, a young girl tells them about the curse of those, whose wishes become undone when coins are stolen. (Who could this possibly impact? Well, this episode tells you that!) At the same time, Pawl the Dorf talks to the odd priest about doing a reincarnation - and the two of them complete the spell - but at what price?

So recently, I got it in my head to go back and re-film all of Neverending Nights in 1080p HD (originally it was in like 800x600 or possibly even worse, back in 2004). I plan on releasing each new HD version every Saturday (released 3 so far)... Unfortunately, the audio is all the original (I try to clean it up where I can and improve it)... It does; but it's kind of sad at the same time. I delayed making that last episode for QUITE some time knowing that it would be the end; and wrap up the entire story of Peter and Grayson - all the pieces would fall into place and be done. 9 (nine!) years in the making? My hat's off to you, my good sir. Thanks! (I couldn't figure out how to do multiple quotes, but didn't want to do one post per reply here!) It was a long, fun, and VERY adventerous 9 years! When I first started this - I did it just to get a story out of my head, and have a unique game engine to tell it through. When it got PC GAMER'S attention, and then interview with Bioware, then hired by Atari to do NWN2 stuff, then getting child hood heroes of mine to do voices in the series - it was this landslide of incredible things I had NEVER expected to happen.

Quite a few new episodes since this post... First to explain the one thing you may not know - "Machinima." In short, the easy answer, is filming within a game's enviroment, manipulating it, voicing over, and doing something extra with it (like making little segments, videos, etc). The most popular Machinima out there, without a doubt is RedvsBlue (I won't even link their website - because it should be obvious) - but that's not who I want to talk about! I want to talk about Neverending Nights which uses the Neverwinter Nights game engine from Bioware to create a series. Personally my favorite is that Peter the Ranger character. He's so sauve. So cool. So funny. He's all around the best character. His side kick Grayson is all right. I figured I'd open up its own thread. I know people aren't always keen to going to yet another new forum - so if anyone watches our episodes - they can comment here. The first 10 episodes are rough. In the first five, we try SEVERAL different filming styles, and video capturing styles. In the first five, we're also using a cheap $9.99 mic. But Episode 10 we were using my Karokee machine through my PC because the sound was infinitely better. By episode 16 (or 17) - we had bought Shure Mics (200 bucks a pop), plus a full audio/digital converter, built a mini studio in a garage and gone the whole 9 yards with it. It's paid off, as I said before, because of PC GAMER UK, interviewed by Bioware on their site, Atari contracts, NWN2 for free (plus the expansion) all before it came out, entrance to E3 for free under Atari's badge, entrance to the San Diego Comic Con for free as professionals, etc etc etc. So if you're interested - head to the site - download the videos (all for free) - like I said just keep in mind the first 10 are pretty rough - and the entire Season 1 ended up being a HUGE learning processes so that Season 2 (all available for free to download also) was much better all around. ... officially! THE ANNOUNCEMENT! And actually those devil dogs made the announcement a WEEK AGO on Oct 20th, and just - ya know, figured we knew! On April 29th, 2006 - Atari contacted me and Adam and wanted to meet up with us, regarding Neverwinter Nights 2. Through them, we were invited to E3 with ATARI passes (and got to see the cool stuff Atari has in the back - pictures will come now that the announcement has been made!) They wanted Adam and I to do some NWN2 Machinima to promote NWN2 before it's release (and episodes after their release)! Well, after talking with them at E3 about the details - we were invited up to Obsidian's office here in California. Needless to say, Adam and I were all over that! So after E3, Adam and I made our way to Obsidian (it was like a week later) - and got hands on experience with the toolset and the game play, allowing us the chance to see how we could make a NWN2 Machinima work (after all, there is no DMJump in NWN2... yet). After agreeing to all of this - we had to sign a nice little NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) and keep our mouth shut until they made the official announcement! Well, I knew it would come down to this. Adam, the lazy ass that he is, with his lame excuses has been booted from FNBH Productions. And I noticed, as soon as I booted his candy little rump, production at the offices of FNBH Studios nearly tripled! And as a result, I am able to stand here, and tell you - at long last - Episode 20 has been completed! And more so, Episode 20 is now available for release! So come get you some much needed NeN goodness! Neverending Nights - Episode 20: Variety is the Spice of Life... (Right Click, Save As... 26.1 Megs)! In this episode, Peter and Grayson discuss the matters of money and how to spend it - and from where they stand - they can see the "Dragon Cave!" The end of their quest is nearly at hand!
