  1. They should put in more romances and such in every game, instead of all these FPS. Love, peace and understanding please. As many have said, the one in PS:T was fun. It was well written, funny, optional and it stopped pretty much were it felt like it should. It doesn't need to go further than that. Just some distraction when you run through all endless corridors.

Have to agree with you on that Fishboot.

  2. Ahh, yeah I can imagine that. But were they really that unmainstream in the beginning too? I wasn't even born in 81(?) when they released their first album, and am guessing some years just after that they got to the top. What I'm trying to say is, I realise that nowadays they are perhaps not that mainstream, but was it the same in the 80's too? They sure was different, and that prolly made their success. But they were being played in many radiostation, I hardly, or never hear them on radio today.

  3. Oh my God, it was so awesome! You know?

We just had on the telly this all out 80's night(well it's till continuing, going for a straight 9 hours!). They were sending old concerts, interviews with all big stars, and having special documentaries for bands like Depeche mode.

So I just thought I'd ask what you thought about a thing. What really made Depeche mode so successful(talking about the early Depeche mode)? I mean, sure they were good, but I never thought they had that something extra, that some bands had. You know what I mean? Was it that they were really early with that certain sound they had? The synth music that's so well known by now? Or was it something else?

Perhaps it was just that they were good, but I don't think that's what made the breakthrough.

  4. Seriously, except for that big really known bug, where the game would crash at some boat(don't want to be more specific than that), I actually never had any problem with it(and you could bypass that problem with console if I remember)! Sure, the loading times were a pain, but except for that, it's one of the greatest game experiences I've ever hadm. Sure beats Kotor1/2 imo. It really felt as if I were in WoD. And at least one certain character, is ooohh so memorable.

  5. Please.. okay I hate saying this, but.. Only in America... and perhaps a few weird countries in Europe... and Perhaps China... and.... Oh well, perhaps a few more countries. But plleeease my american fellows, do something with your vote next time! Demand the damn politicians to take a firmer grasp on the RIAA, it seems like they are practically going berserk. One more thing, don't vote on **** like Leland Yee. :D

edit: It should be more stars "*".. that function doesn't seem to be working correctly. :shifty:

I'd say about four more stars... You should at least be able to guess, ehh?

  6. No worries.. Gauntlet will still be an incredibly ass-boring stupid hack&slash repetitive game. Perhaps it'll be even MORE hacking and slashing now? Seems to happen when companies have to short a time, or too little money, to actually make somthing cool out of a game. Sooo... yeah, should suit some of you fine I guess.

Did someone say The Sith Lords? :)"

Hahaha, yeah I guess in a way that too. I can only hope for Gauntlet being more than what my impression is of it. And my impression of it so far, is down.. way down, compared to TSL.

  7. Huh!? Xbox 360 is that low? Please.. I feel sad for Microsoft.. they're even more interested in the Revolution.. *hysterical laughter!*

But hey, what did you mean by: "so Europe probably places just below Japan."? Did Xbox sell bad in Europe? At least it seems really popular here in Sweden soo..uhm.. Do you have any statistics about marketshares? I'd be interested in seeing them. :)

  8. Making games for mobile phones!? Seriously? Ooh god, please tell me you're kidding! I mean, after the release of V:tm they truly showed all, that they are one of the best on the RPG market(imo anyway)! The dialogue options, the characters, the quests.. it was great! Personally I really liked the story too, and the multiple endings were all cool.

Hey, which ones were actually working on story, characters, and dialogue? Does anyone know?

  9. Bleh, how fun can it be to get like the coolest equipment from start? Naaah, I prefer to have it available after one quarter or half the gametime. Then I have time to try out most other equipments too, because after you get the lightsaber, then it feels unnecessary to use any other weapon. :/

Well, that's one of the reasons anyway

  10. Geeeeh! FPS talk on Obsidian forum?

I tried the BF2 demo, and I thought it was kinda boring myself.

Sure, the graphics was nice, but the gameplay, running around with a gun in your hand and hoping for headshots... or is that some other game... was terrible. Anyways, was just exactly like viet and bf42.

Ooohh well, I don't really like fps. It does something to your mind, and then you're never the same again.

  11. I maintain that Nintendo should have kept quiet about Revolution until they were really willing to show us something and sell the console to us.

No titles annoucened, no retail details about hardware, and they call that an annoucement?

Yeah, the thing I've heard most people talking about so far, is the backward compatibility, and that really isn't something that would make me a buyer anyway.

I bet most people have probably tried the emulators available for the pc, if they really wanted to play for nostalgic reasons.

  12. Thats the reason they are giving for keeping the revolution controller under wraps. The controller is supposed to be the key point of the machine allowing it to do things that none of the other machines can do.

Yeah, perhaps it is a very innovative controller, but we haven't even seen it yet so it could just be marketing talk as well. And really, what is the most interesting in a console? The hardware, or the games? Easy answer there.

Sony showed off some real great techmovies and such at E3, including one using a webcam of a kind. Showing it how games could give more interaction to the player with the webcam. I mean, yeah it's been used before, but it SEEMED to be going to a new level with the interaction. So, that's one point for Sony then too, imo.

1 - 1, and NONE of these accessories, we don't really know so much about to see if it will come to a greater use.

  13. Okay, except for owning a pc and a amiga, I have only owned a n64, so I'm no sony or microsoft fanboy. Just wanted to make that clear.

The talk about Nintendo being so VERY very very very very very very very innovative, VERY innovative, is beyond my comprehension. PERHAPS they were innovative in the old days, with nes and snes, I'm not sure because I only was like 10 or something back then.

But except for that, what I have seen on the N64 weren't really innovative at all. I mean, yeah sure, Zelda: Ocarina of time was a great game, with good gameplay, but innovative? Really? Mario64? Banjo Kazzooie (or whatever the name was..)? Golden eye, not at all.. I had some quality time with 'The Cube' at a friends place, playing mostly some monkey game. Tell me if I'm wrong here, but Nintendo sure do a lot of follow-ups? Zelda and all the mariogames, just comes up in my mind right now. What's innovative with that? Nothing if you ask me, at least not if the gameplay is mostly the same as last time.

What I've read about the Revolution, except it having backwards compatibility, (YES! Now I can play all those innovative games AGAIN!) are titles like Zelda, Mario, and names like that. VERY innovative? Very very very innovative. :o
