I think that Lucas has said that Vader had the greatest potential a Force user could have. Which is different than saying he is the most powerful.

We are not talking about our guy but about the emperor. To which vader was loyal for aover 20 years and didn't succeded in overthrowing him and be the emperor himslef, thus in my opinion Sidious is more powerful than Vader.

Vader lives for a while, until he sees Luke with his own eyes. Unless the shaft was something like 1000Km I would say emperor died first, so Vader won

I thought that Lucas had said that Luke becomes the most powerful of them all. Anakin never reached his true potential, either due to the lack of trainning (he never completed his Jedi trainning) let alone maturity. Or due to his injuries and tha fact that he had to be 24/7 in a "environmental" suite.

I like to think that the clones of the emperor are totaly BS...

That's not exactly what I would call 'defeating' him. If Vader hadn't stepped in, Luke would have been a Light Side corpse, and the Emperor would have shrugged and moved on; certainly not happy at the outcome, but really none the worse for it. The Emperor failed to turn Luke, but I'm thinking 'defeating a Sith Lord' involves something a little more important than inconveniencing him. Luke beat Vader. Vader beat the Emperor.
