  1. Was forever ago.. mbe 1988 or something. A friend of mine's Dad tried to play dnd with us a couple of times. The story always went that we died at the beginning doing something stupid. A kind cleric resurrects us only go on about his payment for this deed and how we now owe his church many favors. Don't remember ever playing for more than an hour but a fun good memory. The Dad was definitely a hack and slash DM.. those were the old days before anyone knew what 'roleplaying' was lol. Glad we have gentlemens guide and similar to teach the old foggies like myself. :D
  2. No, not really. Also Sega bought Relic, not EA. I see I'm wrong
  3. http://www.beastsofwar.com/warhammer-40k/bioware-saved-warhammer-40000-space-marine/ I think we can consider this confirmed. The site Bit by Bit Gaming has reported that a reliable source within Bioware revealed they are now the owners of the Space Marine and Dark Millennium IP. THQ/Reric were recently bought out by EA who also owns Bioware. Bioware seems like a good fit for these titles. Now sure why they didn't confirm that DoW moved to BW too. Perhaps they have already announced that I have no clue. Dark Millennium was a canceled MMO by 'Vigil Games' who was owned by THQ. Doesn't sound hopeful for a BF style WH40k game. I think that would be best. Port most of the TT rules over and let people spawn as more powerful stuff as they accomplish objectives. That or a RTS that more closely follows TT, that would be my two preferences. Space Marine was a pretty hollow shooter with a gear grind IMO. By the time I bought the sale price version their was DLC that was $40 for me to play all the maps! What a joke. Sorry but good riddance THQ. You kept grabbing at our wallet. We said no... you didn't listen...
  4. Strangely the worst MMO in a long time (SW:TOR) successfully pulled this off with the story missions. I'd imagine anyone who played the SW rpg would have quite a bit of fun with their friends going through the multistep missions like an episode of Star Trek with the silly villain who is trying to poison the lake and all that. It's a shame the PVP was so terrible because that I all I really play mmos for. They had everyone in the same ship and messed it up...
