  1. If it's a KotOR game, then yes... (or any kind of Star Wars RPG)

    Otherwise... no.

Incidently Darque, did you ever get around to play K2? :p

    Not yet <_<

unforseen circumstances have stripped me of my new video card funds <_< *grumble*need-a-crown-on-a-molar*grumble*

There is only one thing to say then, poor Darque

Be careful with the teeth :p

  2. 2.- A nice photo about Irak o:)

Demagogy at its finest. A widely extended practice to be sure, but taken to an absurd degree in my country.

Oh, well. I'll stop now before I'm accused of being a fascist. icon3.gif

As you know 213374U my english is very bad, then I'll answer you in spanish.

Demagogia por que y de quien? USA ocup

  3. Well he is spanish after all. But I don't know, I had spanish for two years in high school and I can't speak a word of it. Why is it always when it's too late that you realize you should have paid more attention in class? :D

Edit: Good point Aponez, Danish Freedom Fighters in WW2 were probably considered terrorists by Nazi Germany as well. Although I will say this, some foreign groups of islamic extremists are very much 'terrorists' (and probably some Iraqi groups as well), I'm talking about those who behead civilians on TV and blow up markedplaces filled with innocents, those who would execute unarmed people who are injured or have already surrendered... This one goes for US troops as well.

Well Lucius in Irak now there are terrorism and resistance, but when you heard the US news they only talk about terrorism, for them they are all terrorists.

  4. 1.- SteveThaiBinh the quote is "vencereis pero no convencereis" Unamuno said it to General Millan Astray as a reply to his "muera la inteligencia, viva la muerte" (he was a legionaire) :-"

    2.- A nice photo about Irak o:)

3.- 11XHooah as you said you had a friend in the army give him the next thing for me. "The eggs you offered us one year ago you can give it now to the "brave" american boys who now don't want join the army to go to Irak, and don't forget the chicken sounds" If he was in Irak, and I'm spanish, he will understand.

4.- If Sadam has the WMD ready to use in 45 min, as said your PM ShadowPaladin, why he didn't use them when was attacked?

5.- If the problem where the WMD. Why US didn't attacked North Korea (they said very clear they had it), why US don't call for an embargo and the disarm of Israel who has WMD and has attacked his neighbours.

  5. It is funny that morons from military think that they guard anyone's freedom - while they guard dirty interests of giant corporations that don't care about ordinary american or anyone else.

1.- The military don't guard the "dirty interests of giant corporations".

2.- The military only obey the orders of the political power of his country.

3.- What "dirty intersts of giant corporations" protected in May 1945 the soldiers of General's Busse IX Armee or the soldiers of General's Wenck XII Armee? Between the 2 armies they lost almost 150.000 soldiers but they got send to the west and save from the russians 200.000 german civilians, don't forget that, and the Kriegsmarine between February and May of that year send from East Prussia to Denmark almost 2 million of civilians.

4.- What were the interests of France and the military they send to Chad to help the refugees from Darfur?

5.- What were the interests of the giant corporations in the Tsunami?

Not bad to protect "dirty interests of giant corporations"

Don't say more stupid things <_<

  6. Errr.....5 battleships a day???

As for Aponez, I think you are sorely underestimating the usefullness of the german tanks.

If the Panzer IV was such a crap tank, why was it still able to punch holes in Allied armor towards the end of the war.

Alanschu, I didn't say that the Panzer IV was a crap tank, the Panzer IV that the germans used in Poland and France in 1939 and 1940 was very different that the Panzer IV of 1943-45, in France and Poland the Panzer IV were the Ausf A., Ausf B., Ausf C and Ausf D, his gun was a low barrel 75 mm gun who couldn't fire armor piercing shells because of his low initial speed, the Panzer IV of the end of the war had changed the old 75/24 for a 75/48 and had an armor of 80 mm not the 50 mm of the Panzer IV Ausf A-F1 (the F2 was a F1 with a 75/43 gun). :p

  7. Finally, it was an illustration of intent as a marker for alignment. So your alignment would be Chaotic Good, because you chose to allow a great evil because you deemed the consequential great good that derived from it worth the sacrifice.

Well, I said before that my alignment was Chaotic, and the other part was about the day "

About the war, forget the ships, in a war in Europe the USSR don't need ships, and remeber that Germany conquered France in 1940 with worst tanks than the allies, the best german tank were the Pz III ( 37/46 mm gun and 3*7.92 mm machineguns, armor 50 mm) and the Pz IV (75/24 mm gun and 3 machineguns, same armor than the Pz III) against them the allies had the Somua (47 mm gun and 2 machineguns, armor 50 mm), the Char B1 Bis ( 1*75 mm gun, 1* 47 mm gun and 2 machineguns, armor 65 mm) and the Infantry Tank Mk II (Mathilda) ( 1*40 mm gun, 2 machineguns, armor 78 mm) and won :(

  8. But neither was Dune the first RTS game, nor was it an RTS game at all.

Dune II was crucial to the emergence of the RTS genre, but Dune itself is a fairly inconsequential Adventure-Strategy hybrid, and isn't any more significant to the emergence of the RTS than any of ten or twenty other hybrid adventure or military strategy games from the eighties and early nineties.

Sorry for the mistake Yst my friends and me call Dune to the Dune II, because was the first Dune we played, after it Dune 2000 and Emperor.

  9. Then you can map alignment. One of the neat strategems / plot flaws in any RPG is that the players alignment is not taken into account. For instance, with the KotOR series, it would have been a great feature to be able to bluff or lie to achieve some end (unlike in most Bioware games, where lying is just a pointless way to rack up Chaotic alignment points), like saving Hitler in WW1 so that he will be elected to power in 1936 and start WW2 in 1939.

You see Hitler in your rifle sight:

    1. Kill the mass murderer before he has a chance to cause more death

    2. Miss him (let him take his place in history, because out of his great evil will come the new US world order in sixty years time)

    3. Miss him (let him kill all those non-Arians)

    4. Miss him (it is never right to kill another, even when it might save innocents)

    etc ...

First of all metadigital Hitler didn't was elected to power in 1936, was in 1934 after the death of Hindenburg.

Second killing him in 1936 the only thing you changes is the name of the ruler of Germany, but his succesor will be other nazi, the others where in the exile or in the camps.

Third in 1939 or maybe in 1940-42 you would had the war, but this time the war would be started by the Soviet Union and without the Whermacht to slow them in their advance to the west. In other words, killing him you surely would get a red Europe, remember that with between the 38 and the 45% of the Luftwaffe, the 60% of the Heer (Army), and the 62% of the Waffen SS fighting in the Ostfront (East Front) the allies needed almost 2 years to conquer Italy, and 11 months to conquer what the Wehrmacht conquered in 1940 in 45 days.

How many time do you think they would need against the Soviet Army at the same time the allies had to fight against Japan?

In other words, my election is miss him independent the alignement .

  10. WarCraft predates Ages of Empires, its goes way back to floppy days (or close enough) being one of the first RTS games and its interface is pretty much used by most RTS even today.

Before it there was Dune, the first RTS game.

Be careful, there is a reason why its WarCraft 3 and why Ages of Empires is still at 2, one very much predates the other and one heavly borrowed concepts of the other.

Dune, good film and good game, for his time was a real wonder

  11. The problem with Guild Wars, from what I've heard, is that it's geared towards the PvP crowd.  I'd rather have something in which to act cooperatively.  I don't really have the energy to go heavy PvP.  I've done it, but I would probably just grab a good FPS if that were my goal.

I'd rather do co-op PvE rather than PvP.  I certainly have no use right now for a game completely premised on PvP.

My biggest beef with PvP is that, to be competetive at all, you must dedicate a lot of time to the game.  Either you suck or you practice as part of a clan essentially every day.  I don't have time for that anymore.  I haven't for years.

Eldar, if you want PvP with toooooooo many people, play the WoW and in some PvP servers like Agamaggan go to Tarren Mills and you'll see what is tooooooooooooo many people or try a raid in DAoC against a Relic Keep

I played Guild Wars, and until now almost all time was be alone or with a group against monsters.
