  1. I know this game isn't balanced around solo play but I have played solo in every other crpg out there but never encountered this kind of thing. How am I supposed to beat Xuarip skirmishers? They always seem to hit, always paralyze on hit, refresh paralysis duration on hit and there seem to be no diminishing returns of any kind. It seems ridiculously overpowered. I have a wizard, I cast arcane veil and mirror image before it hits me, I cast curse of blindness on it and still I always get permanently paralyzed. Is a priest a must-have? Is there no other way for me to beat this thing? Can't you balance it a little for solo without affecting group play? For example by having a "lone wolf" talent, active only when you are alone, that raises your resistances to these ridiculously overpowered CC when one does not have a priest around?
  2. Sorry for resurrecting this thread but I have the exact same problem as the OP and not seem to be able to find the solution. It's definitely not overheating, at least for me. Also after the game crahes I can't relaunch it. Restarting the pc fixes it so I'd wager it's some service crashing during gameplay, but I just can't figure out which. Using windows 7 x64.
  3. Guys, never have been demanding with graphics - but recently replayed POE only to remember why I didn't want to play with a mage when it was released. I thought it would have been improved by now, I am honestly very surprised it wasn't. The wand projectile clips with the character or travels behind your hand in some camera angles and it starts travelling almost behind your character, which is not very accurate with the animation of your hand. Since "wanding" is something that happens all the time, it is very disrupting for me. This thread on nexus pretty much sums up my problem, screenshots included. At the 1st screenshot it is generated behind your hand. At the 2nd it is generated in... your body and clips through it. 3rd same as 1st. At the 4th it seems to clip through your head.
