  1. I've seen a nice idea in darklands. There you had to create a kind of curriculum vitae. First you'd decide if yourents were farmer, crafter, merchant, noble, ... Then you had to select which choices he made on profession. This would change the stats and abilities of your character. Noble meant you could read/write, more knowledge, less strength, streetwise, .. Merchant good at bargain, less strength .. and so on. Found this a nice idea. Maybe you could make different modules of character background, that even could influence reaction of npcs. greetings
  2. Shouldn't that be Yes, we can Only if you're Bob the Builder Is there no Bob the Builder of the Obsidian Order?
  3. When you say combined, do you mean that the books were back-to-back in one bound copy? Or, were the chapters actually placed in relative chronological order from both four and five? I know that book four runs concurrently with book five, and it was split by POV due to length. But, I would really like to have read it in massive tome format, getting to see more of my favorites like Jon and Dany. I use a Nook (e-reader) so the size wouldn't bother me. I've been wanting to try a book 4/5 combo read. I've seen several strategies on how to accomplish this (chapter order) but have yet to try it for myself. Have heard mixed reviews from those who have tried it on whether it makes the read more enjoyable. To me reading book 4 alone took the fun out of it, there are so many characters that I started missing and waiting on book five took so long to be released, that it took me a year to take up the series again. If not a colleague started reading my books after they aired the first season, I am not sure I'd started again by now.

Yeah, I've bougth both seperately but I am reading actually an eBook which has been combined by someone. Found it when I looked for a chapter list to combine them manually.
  5. You should just break down and read the books :D While I agree the series is well done and interesting, it is still missing some things that the book series has. I actually started reading the books before I watched the show. They were recommended to me by a friend. I'm almost done with book four now. It's a lot slower of a read than book 3, which was a complete whirlwind of activity in the last few hundred pages. Just wait til you get to book 5 I have been reading the Song of Ice and Fire since Game of Thrones was released back in the mid 90's and had a friend who worked at a bookstore give me a first edition hardcover copy of the book. Ever since then, I have been in perpetual waiting for the next book to come out. Waiting for A Dance with Dragons was almost too much to bear lol I just read book 4 and 5 combined. Waiting for book five was quite an ordeal. And reading 4 and 5 combined makes it a lot easier to get back into that world.
  6. Drink some coffee, gurl! I hate coffee.... XD But I will go wander off for some tea before I have to take the dog in to the groomers and run my errands. I just had to put my 'plea for reasonable dialogue' into the romance thread again. Because I'm somewhat masochistic like that and keep going back in there. I didn't drink coffee as well, until I got me a proper coffee machine. But I still love tea, mostly when I read books.
  7. i do wonder how many of your 600+ members claimed the additional 8 bucks while in fact they just pledged to get the addons :D I thought that discussion is over? When Obsidian questions what you like to have for the extra pledge, they could offer the membership.
  8. Fear not my fluffy brother you are a key part of our power and just because you can't feed on our ranks doesn't mean there aren't plently of tasks suited to your particular sugery talents. Besides i'm sure we have lots of enemies for you to gorge yourself on. But wouldn't that turn them into weremarshmallow, and do they then belong to our order. Else they might strengthen our enemies. To imprudently let loose a weremarshmallow, could turn into a nemesis.
  9. now I'm not sure if you're serious or just trolling. bsn version of Poe's law. ****ing urls, how do they work? Why, serious of course, can't see any trolling.. Bravo then, because in that case your post have made lose my faith in humanity. AVE SATANAS! Cool your jets, all I propose that you face the consequences of your (mis)behavior. I don't meant that you have have affairs in PE1.

  11. If we get a Stronghold, maybe we'll get a Lady/Lord to marry as well? Maybe you can decide to have encounters (as in the Witcher) as well. And you children start as PC in PE2. And they meet the unclaimed children from you affairs from PE1...
  12. I am still playing the Witcher (for 4 years now), but I need to finish first before starting the second part, an PE is already on its way, I should quit my job...
